Hey y’all, yeah I have tons of post on my journey to solve the F up by Trek and Bosch related to the firmware update, you can see my past post to see what I went through.
My final test was the Mullet the 2022 Rail, so this past weekend I converted my 9.8, flipped the minolink into the high...
FIXED, however not perfect but not doubling the miles anymore!
Bocsh and Trek enabled the internal motor magnet senso, installed the wheel magne And presto
see image,
The Folsom Trek Factory shop offered to work with any USA Trek dealer to solve the issue, contact number below. have them ask for...
Trek swapped the speed sensor cable and magnet last friday to the Bosch speed sensor cable and it did not work, and did not fit in the rear triangle either.
Trek ordered the wheel magnet Monday and it will arrive tomorrow morning, fingers crossed Should be fixed.
Thanks & Yeah I agree something is a rye & I am super pissed, unfortunately the Trek folks in Folsom got the brunt of it today. It’s like My Rail 9.8 is Trek & Bosch crash test dummy, redo the firmware 3 times, install a Bosch magnet, then swap the sensor wire and another new 6 bolt magnet to...
Interesting, Trek remove the Trek sensor cable and magnet today & installed the Bosch sensor cable and 6 bolt magnet and it did not resolve the issue. can you share a photo of your buddy’s Trek Rail with the stem mount Magnet, and sleeve, also my understanding is that Bosch pushes the software...
Hey all

Hey all
So you can read my prior post to get all the BS I’ve gone through.
here is the update on my bike from today 2/27/2023
Folsom Trek received and installed the Bosch speed sensor...
Hey buddy, that was my first question to Trek and Bosch 3 weeks ago when I first noticed the issue, I received the same answer from both, hold on to you chair, No it is impossible to roll back miles! 🤬
My bike has been sitting at the shop, they gave me a 9.7 as a loner until a solution is found...
Yes I agree. Honestly this is turning me bitter on Trek, #1 of 2 reason I purchased the Trek was because of local Trek Factory stores, I have 3 in my area and if an issue arises I could take it in, they solve it and I’m back on the trails, this is like going through a online retailer at this...
Yeah, very intriguing, I’ve become over consumed with understanding this, my wife will be very happy when it’s all over so we can go back to snuggle time ❤️
FYI,
One of the other per Bosch which make since
Bosch eBike Systems
Good Morning Jeremy,
The drive unit on your eBike has basically two different ways that is can measure speed. Your eBike is programed for a wired speed sensor and a rotor magnet. This is the most common...
You’re killing it with all this information.
I’ll let Trek and Bosch figure out what is going on first with my bike, maybe just maybe this is what Trek and Bosch are going to come up with to solve the issue.
Only issue is Trek will now need to come up with a problem solver for the gapping hole...
Hey ZimmerFrame
So your thoughts are Bosch enabled the magnet sensor in the motor, & Trek has its own magnet/speed sensor cable and a 6 bolt magnet on the hub, so as the wheel rotates the motor and speed/mile sensor cable is picking up the Trek oddly oblong magnet on the hub doubling the speed...
🧐Why the heck is Trek not using this magnet!!!
I’ve been chatting with the Pole folks for a couple weeks now about a bike build, now it looks like I’ll be pulling the trigger on a Voima.
Yeah, my bike is less then 2 months old and I am feeling the pain of a $10000 including tax sitting at a Trek shop with no confirmed correction in site,
& yes I would say TBD at this point. If the Bosch parts fix my bike we’ll all know what needs to be done. How Trek deals with the rear...
Yeah, I asked Trek what the difference is between the two fitting in the rear triangle, the Trek folks did have awnser which is a concern of mine, guess we’ll see when the parts arrive. More to come.
Hey JP-NZ, That Flow App release came out on the 15th of February for “minor bug fixes”, in one of my prior post I shared Bosch’s response when I asked if this was the fix to the mileage and speed issue. That is where Bosch acknowledged it is solely a Trek issue.
