I have had zero problems with my e8000 (3500 miles, sold the bike) and my EP8 (2000 miles and counting). No problems with the motor or the batteries. The EP8 is noticeably better than the e8000, as it should be with 21% more torque. Both have a great ride feel and I like that. All the tests say...
It's probably an optical, illusion, but your front wheel does not appear to be at right angles to your bars. By comparison, your bars do seem to be at right angles to the axis of the bike. Meant to be helpful. :)
I worked it out from the context, but I thought that WTD might be a next generation WTB!
I thought WTB had maybe moved into suspension or something. :)
Ref water damage to electrical components:
When I was a wage slave, many years ago, I was in discussion with our company's risk assessment consultant. The topic was fire suppression, specifically in the computer room of a large automated warehouse. I ventured the opinion that if water...
I have at least a double thickness of rim tape over the valve hole. I then pierce the valve hole rather than cut a hole. I wrap a few layers of ptfe tape (also known as plumber's tape) around the valve seat (belt & braces, I know).

Have you tuned the EP8 with the Shimano eTube app? I met a guy who was disillusioned with his Nukeproof Mega. I took less than 5 mins to set up part of his motor (just the Trail set up on Profile 1), so he knew how to do the rest. He was blown away and became an instant convert. There are so...
As a Brit I am less than overwhelmed with American football. I once went to see a game in Cambridge. It was between the Alconbury Spartans (a US base in the UK) and the Zweibruke Warriors (a US base in Germany). What do I remember? The cheerleaders, the loud commentary in what seemed to me to be...
Yiu seem to have fixed it now and you are good to go. Valuable lessons learned: 1) Water is dangerous to electric bikes and... 2) Don't trust your LBS* on the important stuff, not even on bolt tightness.
Note* Well, not until they have earned your trust.
