I had fox 38 160's on my whyte, I can't say I very needed more, I've just bought a new bike and that's 160 as well, it depends what sort of riding you do. If it's mainly gravity fed then 180s but if you do a mix and like trails, single track and getting about and some fun gravity downhill stuff...
I have always used Stan's and also carry Stans Darts, also an inner tube for anything large.
Have seen the Peatys stuf and will probably go that way as I think Peatys lubes are great.
I have tried many over the years, E-Scorpion and others from Roofbox company and they were very good but nothing gives me the confidence over a thule easy fold, just upgraded to the 3 bikes version.
Well after all the debate I have decided to not put the bike on my roof, when alone its going in the back of the car and when with the family as now 3 bikes I will just use the Thule 3 bike rack for the towbar, easier and safer option.
Glad I never rushed into the roof option :)
After research the top ride looks like a good option from thule, the battery and front wheel will be off while I travel to reduce the weight. Will look at the threads for securing the bars thanks all :)
No calling names now I know noticed your new bike :), I went for a trek rail 9, got a great price and the dealer is in Pickering is local for any problems etc. Will give you a shout mate definitely haha will need showing round again :)
haha no not at all Steve, not long after became not so good and had to pack a lot of stuff in, all good now and the new bike arrives in a couple of weeks, I cant wait :) really looking forward to getting back out again :) just shows what a small world it is meeting him in Scotland :)
