When I get a choice, I go for satin black. I will not pay extra for bling.
But some years ago, I had to replace one of the decals on a fork leg. When looking around I found that Fox did what I would call "stealth" decals - black of a different surface reflectivity to the black paint on the fork...
Try the mullet configuration, you might like it.
My first 29er was my previous emtb and it was forever buzzing my arse on steep descents. My current emtb is a mullet and I no longer get buzzed. :)
As to your original question, do you have to use the flipchip?; try it both ways to see which you...
@grim007 If you cannot tune the suspension fork with spacers, then return the fork. You will need to tune the fork sooner or later, unless you are the perfect mix of weight / have plateaued on the learning curve / have uniform trails.
These people may help.

I was buying alloy frames that claimed to be "hydro formed" many years ago. I didn't disbelieve the claims, I only had to look at the changes in cross sections approaching joints to see for myself.
Every CF-frame that I have bought was as far as I could establish, lighter than the alloy version...
When I was riding mtb I bought a bike because I liked the test ride and it turned out to be CF frame. I was a bit hesitant with it on the work stand to start with but very soon got used to it. The next mtb I bought was CF by choice. My first emtb was CF by choice because by that time I was...

I use BYK Armour. I just noticed that you prefer matt, this is glossy, but they may do a matt.
Helicopter Tape Bike Frame Protection Tape Premium Super Clear Glossy | eBay
No idea where it comes from, but it is relatively cheap and it lasts for ages. Easy to remove too if you use a hairdrier.
@2WheelsNot4 Here is a 6 min vid of Santa Cruz testing of a carbon frame.

Has WD40 changed its formulation in recent times?
I ask because I was always told that WD40 was the work of the Devil as far as bikes were concerned. It penetrates seals and breaks down grease and oil, neither of which you want to happen anywhere near your suspension or your bearings.
The only...
As it will be your first emtb, I strongly recommend a test ride. Yes, I know, they are not as easy to get as they were before the Pandemic when all bikes sold out. But things seem to be getting back to normal and test rides are no longer out of the question. I was fortunate enough to test more...
I have bought two emtbs (Focus and Merida) from JEJames. They are on online retailer who also happens to have High Street shops. The one I dealt with is a 3-hour round trip for me, which is a bit too far TBH. But they had the bikes I wanted and their service is excellent, which is why I had no...
The standard advice on this forum for someone on their first emtb purchase is to buy local. You may be a mechanical bike repair guru, but it's the "e" stuff that is the problem. Not just the motor and battery, but the charger, display, sensors, wiring, software, apps, motor tuning, updates and...
There are loads of different ways to do it all on YouTube, but the key thing to take into account is the extension of the wheelbase when the rear suspension compresses. Even single pivot rear suspension may extend the wheelbase, depending upon where the pivot is placed, so it is important that...
I too believe that water with some fine wet & dry abrasive will do the job.
When I was an apprentice, back in the late 60's, we used paraffin when machining aluminium. But that was before Health & Safety! Do not try this at home!
I just found this on Google:
Is WD40 good for cutting...
Set the EP8 max torque to 70Nm which is the e8000 max torque.
You may wish to dial down the assistance character too, but I have no data on what that might be. Assistance character is what brings the bike alive.
