Zeb Dual Position

Has anyone got one of these? Tried one of these? Thinking of one for my Spectral:On - 180/150 mm. Had one on an old Scott Genius LT and the system worked pretty well. I live in Mijas Spain where there is a lot of climbing but also some great but very rocky descents. Could be the ideal solution for the Spectral...

@FAYR I had a dual position (140/110) Fox fork, they called it TALAS (Travel Adjust Linear Air Spring). It came as standard on a new bike. This was fairly early on in my MTB career and initially I thought it was great, for the reasons that you gave. It would have benefitted from a lever on the bar to make the adjustment on the move, instead of having to lean over the front of the bike to turn the dial at the top of the left leg. It worked as advertised, but after a few months I stopped using it as I just didn't need it any more. The inconvenience of using it outweighed the benefit I was getting as my riding ability improved.

One of the downsides of the Fox system (the Rockshox may have the same downside, although I wouldn't put it past those clever guys to have a good workaround) was that you couldn't tune the fork with spacers. The most I could do would have been to add a small bit of oil in the air chamber, maybe 15ml max. But the suspension servicing and tuning specialists at TFT were not too encouraging on the topic.

people always complained about TALAS or DP (RS Dual Position). that it's way more difficult (or impossible) to setup air spring for aggressive riding. no mid support, or too harsh etc.

Ok, so I bought one! Zeb 170 dual position, Ultimate, 2.1 damper for €559! Drops the front to 145mm which will be good for climbing out here and then smash it down with the 170mm. First run this weekend. Already looking at 180 option and charger 3. But that’ll have to wait €€€?

I still have a 130/150 carbon revelation fork on my 26’ 12 kg stump jumper built in 2014.
I used to travel to UCI venues and ride both the DH and XC tracks on this bike
Now, my bike is a hardtail 29’ with 120mm fork. And the last time I took the stumpy for a ride, strava gave me kudos for my fastest time in four years, so, the stumpy with dual position proved to be a good climbing machine, also on the flats, when you want a more agessive stance.
On an ebike, I have a 2018 spectralon, I never felt the need for a lower front end, because the motor makes it so much easyer on the climbs and the speed limit will refrain me from trying to ride fast on flat terrain.

Took it for it's first ride today and got a 4th place and 4 PRs on Strava! Felt so good. Incredible ground-hugging and much smoother. We have some very techy and steep climbs in Mijas that had me wheelying a lot so this so far seems to have helped. Yeak, hit the limiter alot out here even on some gradual climbs which is quite entertaining over rocky stuff!
I'm super happy with it. Next swap is to a OneUp dropper so i can get my final seat height lower. It'll be 25mm lower and shimmed to 170. Love the bike.
I have a Crux gravel bike as well which I put fatter 45/40 tyres on and that is quick on anything approaching XC but thereafter it needs a dropper and sus fork...bit like an XC bike!? LOL...

I ordered one by mistake thinking if I should return it or not since I don't need the dual position feature

@grim007 If you cannot tune the suspension fork with spacers, then return the fork. You will need to tune the fork sooner or later, unless you are the perfect mix of weight / have plateaued on the learning curve / have uniform trails.
