Six weeks off the bike with a separated shoulder 🤕 so good to get back out this week. Then I came off and landed on the same shoulder again 🤦🏻♂️ Seems OK though, bit sore today but will be back out later this week.
Maybe the front tyre with 3,000 miles on it doesn't help, twice now it's washed...
Does the Bosch/Kiox have incident detection yet?
I had a big accident a few weeks ago, and incident detection is my new 'must-have' feature. I wear both a smartwatch and use a Garmin Edge, but only the Garmin triggered and alerted my emergency contacts of the incident and sent them my GPS...
Looks great. Did it get the Raceface bars and stem? I noticed some confusion on those too - Whyte website says just the usual Whyte branded ones, reviews keep talking about RF ones.
I was thinking about the prices on my ride today on my v1 E160 S. I understand inflation, market forces etc. but I couldn't afford the same bike today I bought a couple of years ago. Around £5k is still my price point (prob less now with the cost of living). Good thing I like the v1 so much 🙂
Yeah, 4.4kg, 625 is 3.5kg. If Whyte is sticking with alu, not sure where else they can lose weight. DT wheels, Fox susp, GX transmission, RF bars/stem, crank bros dropper, all standard FF kit.
I dunno. Isn't it inflation, market forces, plus the V3 has the bigger battery assuming the rest of the spec is equivalent?
V1 £5,400
V2 £5,999 (+11%)
V3 £6,800 (+13%)
Promo vid here. Having the battery on rails is an improvement. 29er now, has the Bosch smarts, bigger battery and beefed up headtube prob means more weight (although you could swap in different batteries).
I noticed that earlier in the week. Seems to be the dimensions of the pic rather than the file size - perhaps a new limit has been enabled.
Local hills this morning (uploaded no issues but it's from my lower res 'biking phone')
2 years old in a couple of months, 2k miles, no major issue, they are great bikes.
Still on my original SX/GX transmission 👍🏻I bought replacement GX chains/NX cassette/chainring a while back ready for when the shifting gets sloppy, but not needed it yet. Mech is pretty beaten up as it drags...
Valve cores can get bunged up with sealant, you think they're fully closed but slowly leak. You can pop them out and brush off all the dry sealant. Or buy new ones.
I just use the Tiles for keys and luggage.
I think they had their say at US Congress and raised antitrust concerns, but Tile have since been sold off to another company (with a bad rep for selling off location data), and Apple opened up access to their UWB tech so don't think it went any...
Plastic covers on my battery, so not an issue I reckon. Interested to know how well it works in that alu holder though. I use Tiles, and they don't work in metal boxes.
