Knee and Elbow pads - help!

I have had at least 6 pairs of pads. The g form just don't have enough of protection from a direct blow to the knee. Ion, ixs, 669 are better. I have a bunch of g.force and they sit in my useless box.

Knee and Elbow pads - help!

For me ixs carve Evo+ are the best. I am 5.9" 175 and find medium doesn t move. Tight to get on and off but perfect on. But these do not cover the shin so folks that don't wear clip in ( SPD for me) and you need coverage then the fix launch might work for the knees. I have a used once pair in...

    Shimano Battery Life Poll

The only real test is how many vert and how many miles ya get on same trails over time. Some stupid app #s means squat.

    Shimano Battery Life Poll

I'm sticking to the warning Stephane from commencal gave me a few years ago: don't ever upgrade the firmware if ya know what's good for ya! As for battery health,I now own 3 8010.s because #1 neg terminal plug cracked on the battery and Shimano said too bad for you dude. So one is currently a...

Modified Sinewave Inverter to Power Shimano Charger?

I'm revisiting this post. Wouldn't be reasonable to assume that a 300-400 watt inverter would be sufficient to use the stock Shimano charger to recharge their batts ?

e8000 Beeping then cutting out on steep tech climbs in Boost

Thanks for the idea of the pen to remove oxidation. $10.95 on Amazon. Still in doubt that's going to be the cure for the extreme issues of others. Just sounds like a good tool to keep around. If I were having this cut out frequently I would buy a decent thermal scanner and measure as many...

e8000 Beeping then cutting out on steep tech climbs in Boost

I was mistakenly listening to my friend who thinks a durible good is something that lasts a season. I've got 4 k miles on mine and I want it to run for a long while. I think riding a bike until the thermal overload is triggered is the same as taking your new Corvette to Sears point as much as...

Orbea rise, motor switches off under high ish load

Yikes to the above. I was so wanting one to comment my commencal meta power which is 20 plus lbs heavier. I'm gonna need a bike with all electronics from the motor manufacturer.

e8000 Beeping then cutting out on steep tech climbs in Boost

Ingot that error code once climbing in auburn, ca in boost on a super hot day. Obvious overheat. Super long boost climbs are perfect for those who want to brag about how many e8000 motors of theirs become toast. It seems identical to buying a new Corvette and only racing it at a track and then...

Orbea Rise - Charging/Cabling Fault Finding

All good to know. I forwarded it all to him...riding my neck of the woods???: Well Sedona is just up the road. E bikes not particularly welcome. As in a no ebike sign at many trailheads. I also brought a regular bike. But ....... The trails are classic southwest red rock sandstone with the...

Orbea Rise - Charging/Cabling Fault Finding

It's gets better!!! We drive 2 hours down to Tempe and bring the bike into the shop and drop off for a while. On returning mechanic says bike powered up normally. He checked the connection to the downtube by the headset and it was intact. Also upgraded the firmware. Here is my thoughts on this...

Does the plate behind also carry a negative charge or is it isolated from the brass?

    BT -E8010 POWER CONNECTOR CRACK.

As I recall the plate behind the neg electrode was blocking access from the rear.

Orbea Rise - Charging/Cabling Fault Finding

Just to add, the way the battery mounts allows the battery to become a structural part of the bike. It's case can incorporate structural engineering to become part of the design. Whereas a Shimano battery is not structural. This does sound like a method to get the overall weight of the bike way...
