I’d ask the same dealer why it would distort anything…the speed sensor on the rail is attached to the rear disc, the cassette has nothing to do with it as I understand it. I changed to a mullet set up which has a slight disconnect with bike speed, which I think means I lose assistance quicker...
Next phase of my Rail 5 upgrades! Kiox display (wanker of a job) XT 8120’s fitted, Hope cranks on! Oh and running a mullet currently to see if I prefer that setup. First jaunt at BPW went pretty well, albeit I managed to scuff my new cranks
Or maybe, you just need to look at a full winter riding glove. I’m happy to ride in Briskers through the winter and have ridden in them in the snow. But it blooming cold and windy this weekend. So if you are struggling maybe look at some full winter gloves. Rather than single later...
Well I don’t know what to say! All of my group were wearing them today. But it wasn’t -5 in Monmouthshire and on reflection I don’t think -5 is reasonable to expect toasty hands from a pair of microfibre gloves backed gloves! Universally they seem to score 5 stars in product review tests!
The Brisker has a Velcro strap opening… I have large hands and never a problem. Do you mean Briskers or the Hydromatic gloves which don’t have the Velcro opening. The Brisker is a cold weather glove and the hydromatic is a thinner waterproof glove. Seem to remember them also making a brisker...
Thanks for the info chaps. I avoided Bike-discount.de on the basis that I suspected their pricing wasn’t quite as clear cut. It was significantly cheaper, despite saying Inc of VaT. There was no statement as to further charges for transacting in the U.K. which is why I initially held off...
Thanks,
Yes, I had this debate with some mates who were looking at a YT. They seem to charge VAT at source but also U.K. vat. As a result it’s being charged twice…from what I could see.
let’s see how I get on. Maybe Bikester are correct…
interestingly the order confirmation from them details...
The link posted above seems to suggest that’s not the case. So if it is anything different then I will chase them to either refund me the vat at Origin, or point my credit card company in the direction of their T&C’s and let them decide.
ultimately I won’t lose sleep over it, neither am I...
I pushed the button earlier on Bikester….as soon as I did I remembered why I remember them now! They messed me around something chronic on some tyres that nearly ruined a trip to Scotland! Wonderful! Anyway, they were the only bloody place that I could find with stock of SBM Shimano brake...
If it’s really tight you can stand on the tyre near the bead to break it free, I have had a bead so tight that was the only way to break it from the rim. Once you ‘pop’ it, it will start to come away easily enough. But usually thumb strength should be enough.
Ah thanks, yes it’s clear on their website. I looked there and was attracted to the super cheap AXS deal, but then worked out with the ads ons it soon became not such great value
Thanks,
That’s useful to know. I wish they made it clearer that they are not in the U.K. it’s a little misleading. I will await their response to my question before dropping the money

So I have reached out to bikester for clarity but thought I’d ask here!!
I want to order a kiox upgrade set and a Shimano brake hose from them, their website is .Co.Uk and there is no reference from what I can see on their website that they are EU based. But I’m pretty sure they are (think I...
Well they don’t 😂 guess it’s less of a problem away from the U.K.
Hoping someone has designed something similar so I can get it printed. Otherwise I’ll ask my mate if he can make me something similar
Could do with a nice CNC version in thicker material really. I’m tempted to find someone with the know how. The issue I have with the angled alloy section is the thread could pull easily. Doubling up on the alloy and fitting a rivnut is a decent option. It’s something I want to do, but will...
