I must be the only person who likes the detachable Kiox screen I think! My mates have the Spesh integrated screen. They race on about it, but ask them anything when they are riding they have to stop! I’m happy for no integration but would appreciate a smaller, Bluetooth controller.

Good news! I actually just picked the bike up new motor installed. Shop said it was a complete mess with loads of unrecoverable errors. Either way it’s back and sorted. Trek gave me some vouchers to use in their online store. But to be honest there is nothing in stock on there unless I’m...
So after 240 miles and 2 months my motor packed up. I dropped it into the shop at the very start of the month. I’m 3 nearly 4 weeks in and Bosch have approved the claim, but my bike shop has been waiting weeks for the replacement motor. I’m told that Bosch had no stock and are now playing...
The fitting of the actual is really simple. The routing of the cabling to plug it into the motor is an atrocious job! Set some time aside and work through it methodically taking note of factory routing. Oh and while your there, unless you are running the blendr wired in lighting, purchase a...
I doo ok my want to be ‘that person’ but purchased without the head unit, no frame number visible and a bike covered in spray paint looks dodgy as hell!!!
No it’s not looking good. Well done on having such a decent LbS I can’t find a good Trek dealer locally. Mines sat with a Specialized dealer…albeit a Bosch service centre as well. Can’t even get hold of anyone at Trek U.K. unless I call, which is tough during work hours. I bought the bike...
My bike has the latest software, it was new in October. I don’t believe my speed is too far out anyway. But to be honest I never look at it as it’s irrelevant really to me.
It must be different in your country then. Certainly it’s confirmed in the U.K. that there is a 5% adjustment via the Kiox to allow for adjustment of speed accuracy. I measured both my 29x2.6 rolling circumference and my 27.5x2.6 circumference and the difference was outside of the range for a...
That’s great thanks… is there a how to guide on the seal change so I can look at what’s involved?
FWIW you have my business moving forward, just on the amount of time you guys invest helping folks on here! Thank you!
It’s the same here buddy. Unless you have something very different to several others who have posted here and many more threads. There is only a 5% adjustment range built into Kiox and it does nothing other than adjust the speed reading. Any other change outside of that the system needs...
it would be really helpful if there was a home ‘regular service’ guide for the Bosch 4 series motor? Or have I missed something. @Bearing Man thanks for the above. I can see me ordering the seal service kit from you regularly. But a guide would be helpful so I know what I’m letting myself in...
Have you measured the rolling circumference of your new mullet(27.5) wheel??? I can’t remember the actual measurements but it’s MILES outside the parameters you are able to set through Kiox directly. So unless your Kiox is different to everyone else’s I can see that you have adjusted correctly...
I don’t think you can, you only have to adjust small increments on the Kiox, nowhere near enough to match a 650b rolling circumference.
I run my rail in mullet, I have spoken with my LBS about changing the rear size, he isn’t sure that it can be done, I’m sure it can be but actually I don’t...
Yeah, I find the Assegai packs up too quickly with mud in the winter months. Certainly in the Forest, I just don’t think it performs as well in our winter slop. But in the drier months it is much better. Either that or places which aren’t just mud and roots! So for me Schwable set up in the...
I’ve been running a Magic Mary front and big Betty rear for a few months now. Perfect for winter slop. Mary 2.6 in orange ‘soft’ compound is pretty much the perfect winter tyre for where I ride in the FoD. Which is only off piste stuff. The Betty has decent side knobs and very good for...
