I find the new EMTB mode much more "natural" feeling. The "boost" is really nice when ratcheting your way up steep technical terrain when you can't always put in a full pedal stroke. I find it a nicely implemented feature.
That's exactly the tyre I run on my Rail on the rear in a 2.6 (DHF on the front). Good choice if your terrain is not rocky. I run Cushcore inserts to protect the rims a bit and also assist with tyre stability.
The magnet seems to be simply held on with the rotor bolts on my Rail. I'd imagine it should be a simple matter of swapping rotors and not forgetting to reattach the spoke magnet when installing the new disc.
Seems there is a good number of us here from the (almost) Covid-19 free but somewhat shaky isles of Sheepshagistan.
Reply here if you are New Zealand based.
Helmet: Fox Flux (open face for trail riding) or Fox Proframe (ventilated full face for steep tech where I might still have to peddle a bit) or Fox Rampage (full face for DH/bike park)
Eyeware: Bolle Contour glasses (trail riding) or Oakley O Frame goggles (DH/bike park)
Gloves: Troy Lee XC but...
Left hand side. On second viewing it looks more off centre rather than bent but to the extent that it appears to be rubbing on the disc rotor. Try loosening both caliper bolts to the point where the caliper can move freely, pull on the brake lever hard and nip the disc caliper bolts up tight...
Good result and well done. I'd still replace the spring as it looks bent; it should look symmetrical. If you don't have a spare, ask at your bike shop as they will probably have a spare they could give you.
Rail 9.8 Large:
Cushcore front and rear
Minion DHF/DHR2 2.6
All Mountain Style frame protection
Maxxis front mudguard (freebie giveaway at Crankworx Rotorua)
Ergon GE1 grips
Ergon SM Pro saddle
Bontrager side load water bottle cage and Camelbak Podium 710ml bottle (just fits on a large frame)...
Looks like the spring that pushes the pads back is rubbing on the rotor. The pads themselves look good. Maybe just try replacing the spring which appears to be bent.
A good number of 2021 model year bikes are starting to appear on the Trek UK site. Rail 9.9 moves up to 170 fork.

It was released on Tuesday (NZ time) apparently. Mine was the first that they had done. Interesting to note that the mechanic said he had to specifically select 85Nm.
My LBS phoned today to advise that the new firmware is available for my Trek Rail 9.8 and did I want to book it in to be done. Will be in there first thing they open in the morning and picked up on the way home from work the same afternoon. Can't wait!
The driver you are after will be listed on the Trek web site here:

It's probably best to talk to your bike shop about which one will suit.
If you want to run...
