I stumbled onto this entry-level bike today. I couldn't find any reviews.
But for $2100.00 USD I'd prob. take a chance on one if shipping to USA was available...
For long-term storage (winter months) I store mine in a metal tool box (fwiw) in the (cool) basement at 40%.
Colder (below-freezing) temperatures would be even better for the battery chemistry but the connectors might not be able to handle it and that could create problems.
It seems that you may have stumbled onto something close to the Vitus E-Mythique that's not available to us in the USA with this OP deal. If it works out for you then I'm sure more of us here would be very interested in what it is and how to get one. Although, it sounds like these have also hit...
I'm sure that there's a lot of us out here that think $5k is just way too much to pay for a bicycle unless it's your main sport or you have lots of extra cash to spend. Your initial post seemed to suggest that you aren't ready to commit most of your weekends to MTBing. That is the boat I'm in. I...
It does have hydraulic disc brakes. No-name, but they're 10 times better than the side-pulls on my (high-end at the time) Specialized analog mtb. They have been more than adequate for the steep/rocky downhill I've been doing. Mind you, I'm not pushing for Red Bull speed. ;-)
Edit: Sorry. I...
Sounds like a great deal on a decent bike. I don't know of any other options near that price.
Warranty and other support will likely be weak but, other than the structural frame, most all parts are serviceable or replaceable. Sounds to me like it's worth taking a chance on.
If you wanted to...
Not specific to this motor, or Bafang, but I'm tempted to soak all of my bike's electrics with Corrosion-X.
I don't think it will harm anything? Check out this video.

I never used the cheap charger that came with my (another brand) bike.
I got this one so I have the option to slow charge and have it stop at 80% (less wear on the battery).
It also has a cooling fan and a metal case so it doesn't even get warm when charging.
You can put whatever plug you need...
No posts on these here that I could find.
I'm happy with the E20 (I think?) mid drive that came with my bike so far.
Anyone else have experience with Vinka?

NEWB here from Maine, USA.
I didn't want to get flamed for not searching before asking and I dug up this thread.
So...
After watching this video, do you know of any reasons to not totally soak an emtb's motor and electronics
with Corrosion-X?
