@Mteam - Here's a pic of my actual mount, it looks the same as the image I posted above minues the barrel
Locked position
Unlocked
You can see there's a bit of dirt in there, I'll see if I can improve the seal on the battery cover, the lock does move freely though...
How are the mounts...
@Gigha - I tried taking the battery out mid-ride to swap for my spare. It was 10-11degC ambient at the time.
I then tried again yesterday when it was 7-8degC and failed.
This morning it was a bit cooler 3-4degC and the battery popped out with some wiggling.
I've been swapping batteries fairly...
Update - It's out! ?
Didn't end up spraying anything, but pushing the battery into the frame and wiggling the barrel up and down a bit while turning the key it hit a spot where the key would turn easily and out it popped. Weird, I spent 10 mins trying the same yesterday...
Since the barrel...
@Mikerb thanks for the reply. I believe the barrel turns to rotate the latch that pops the battery out, here is a pic of a powertube battery mounting without barrel - Not sure this is the exact mounting on my frame but looks fairly similar.
I'll spray some WD40 to the external of the barrel...
Right the battery cover is off but the battery is fixed in place with no wiggle room.
The key has always felt a little bit rough when you push it in the barrel, I've given it a bit of a lube to see if that helps but no luck...
The key will turn 10-15 degrees or so but that's it (90 deg to...
I've got a new issue on my Mondraker Level ?
My powertube battery is currently stuck in the frame. I can insert the key, but it won't turn to unlock the battery.
I noticed the lock now isn't quite central to the hole in the frame, and there is a little bit of play so I can insert the key and...
Posted in the Youtube vids thread earlier but should probably sit here instead...
Here's my mates quick edit he put together of us dicking about on ebikes this weekend.
Trails are in Dalby / Yearsley Forest in North Yorkshire - I'm on the Yellow Mondraker.
Hi All,
Just to update - The display went back to Silverfish (Mondraker Distributor) who ran some diagnostics and sent the report off to Bosch.
Bosch accepted the unit was faulty and sent out a replacement, bike is back up and running!
When washing the bike I've avoided hosing the display and...
It could be faulty. What display are you using? Purion/Kiox?
I've had a kiox display and bar controller both fail on my Mondraker Level R, both replaced under Warranty.
For the display issue - The two buttons (power and light) stopped working altogether.
Not specialized specific but batteries shouldn't be stored empty or 100% for too long.
Bosch recommend keeping batteries at 40-60% for best performance/ life cycles.
So I charge to approx 50% after a ride, then charge to full within 24 hours of a ride.
e2a: I also keep batteries indoors...
OP do you have a pic of the bike?
I saw a post on Southampton police fb page looking for the owner of a grey Specialized (not sure if levo/kenevo) ebike they had recovered.
Oh, I hadn't seen those instructions. I just fit mine while they were on the bike and didn't get any oil coming out.
My forks just had 2 allen bolts to remove, they didn't have a pressure release button on them.
