"If there's negatives, I do notice it not having voltage compensation as the battery drains (if you see any tests on this bike, it's significantly faster fully charged)"
I addressed this issue in another thread earlier and the only way that it seems possible to have "voltage compensation" is to...
I have a UART 52v M620 that also will work with a 48v battery I have. Both made with high grade 2170 cells. Hot off the charger for sure they exhibit great power but at around 30% they start to run down fast. Upping the assist level just makes them deplete even faster and it is best to be on the...
Although i don't think that I have any info that would further the OP's seemingly already somewhat extensive eBike knowledge and suspension tuning abilities as a grandfather-aged DIY type person with Finnish lineage I fully approve of her mission to seek out others that can. Welcome aboard!
Televised sports can't exist without major sponships. Riders at top level need sponsors. Sponsors can't exist without customers. Can potential customers customers support a WC DH series to watch from the comfort of their own home? Does it inspire them to go out on Monday and buy the products...
It has gotten now to the point where there is almost too much to unpack regarding the World Cup DH scene? The weather and UCI's knee jerk reactions notwithstanding. The juniors got screwed and should have gone Sunday in place of the semi finals IMHO. That US rider that got screwed at the sign in...
"I'd ditch the 27plus tyres, and fit a regular 29/2.4 or so. Those 27plus tyres might be getting up around the same diameter as a 29. But they will squish in a heap more unless you run ridiculous pressures or baby it around the trails. And that may reduce your ride height at crucial times...
I was sitting on my bike while taking this.....
Cape Meares, OR with Cape Falcon, 60 miles away, in the background
The white spots on the cliff are guano from the birds that nest there. Shark fin upper left.
Just get the bike you like/can afford with a UDH and figure on spending an extra $1500 for a SRAM transmission groupo and you could even sell on the stock drivetrain to defray the cost somewhat? Lots of options that way.
Just got done watching the DH here and as mentioned weather once again a factor. Like #lazy says it's an outdoor sport and Mother Nature can be a cruel mistress. All the unsurity of the schedule didn't help any either. I thought the Dean Lucas YT with Eddie Masters did a decent job of pointing...
The whole "28mph" designation is a bit of a misnomer because without a gear ratio that allows for attaining that speed, on level ground, as a base, it will not be attainable anyway except when there is some gravity involved. Certainly not on any sort of uphill gradient.
I have a Bafang M620...
My picking setup is a modified gallon jug with a strap that goes around my neck and a thick glove on my left hand to be able to move the brambles around to get to the berries when necessary.
Actually my picking spots are certified dust and herbicide free. I don't even wash them before freezing them on a sheet pan like this. Then I put them in a gallon zip lock and then vacuum pack that. A bag will last all year in the freezer.
