They're not "like that". The shop where I bought my bike and my LBS both bled the brakes properly, and the levers do not come near the bar, and I have plenty of stopping power (I did even when I was 255lb. on the bike).
The shop where I bought my Rail ignores all of my emails, won't return calls. My local Trek dealer (Sonora Cyclery) treats me like I spend $1000 a day with them.
When I picked up my Rail7 in May 2021, I was told the bracket was shipped with the bike, but not installed. Supposedly the bikes assembled after May 2021 were all going to have them installed before shipment.
Here are two retailers that have them in stock. I think online sellers are just using a stock image of the 240v charger.

Setting the software for a 27.5 but using a 29" wheel would allow for assist beyond the speed limit (granted, not by much). Perhaps it's not allowed and that's why they're asking.
Switching to an I-Spec compatible dropper remote allowed me to get the controls where I like them, although I'd like to rotate the display toward me a bit, but it hits the brake lever clamp.
