2019...
Thanks. Mounted mine on the RHS last night, ergonomics not a problem like you say. To avoid a clash with the finger shift trigger I have to run it tight against the grip where ideally it would would be a couple of cm away to match where my thumb naturally reaches. Also tend to brush against it...
I need to check that it won't clash with the trigger on the RHS before I decide what to do. Bike24 have sent me a returns label so I would only have to pay for postage again for a new unit, not the end of the world
Bike Year: 2019
Manufacturer: Shimano Steps
Model: E7000 SLX power mode shifter
Asking Price: For swap
Description: Bit of a long shot but I have a brand new left hand unit with 400mm cable that I just got from Bike24 in Germany. Now that I have mounted it I realised I didn't think it...
South Downs. Some areas are ok but the clay/chalk combo isn't the grippiest when wet. Heading up your way on Sunday to enjoy the better drainage, wears the drivetrain and pads a bit quicker though!
Cheers Jonny. Could only get it to upload in 1080 though, raw footage is much sharper
Heading to Surrey on 30th if you fancy joining us? 2 ebikes and 2 clockwork though so pace will be a bit slow
Let me know when you want a tour round here. Bit slippy at the moment though!
As my PC won't cope with 2.7k let alone 4 I have trimmed a few sections down with the GoPro app. I'd like to stitch them together for a single YouTube upload, anyone know if this is possible using either the GoPro app or Quik on the phone or is a desktop video editor required?
The problem with that is the categories also count in the overall leaderboards so you'd still have ebike entries pissing people off on all the climbs and a lot of other trails. So you need the segments replicated for ebikes due to the fundamental difference of motor assist
The best case IMO would be for Strava to just recreate all existing segments with an "E-" prefix or somesuch. How much bandwidth/cost/whatever this would involve I don't know but there is a page to appeal to Strava to do so here;
Duplicate Cycling Segments for Ebike Segments
Not many entries...
In terms of cassettes and chains My 11 speed XT seems way more prone to jamming up with vegetation that the 10 speed on my mate's E-Sommet. I don't think the smaller gaps help but reckon the worst culprits are the slotted jockey wheels, I might change them.
I've come round to thinking cheap...
Just to add to this my mate ordered one of last year's deore spec a while back -it was quite badly gouged when delivered and they offered him either 50 or 100 quid discount and wouldn't budge. He sent it back and got another one, they then listed it on Wiggle's Ebay clearance account and it sold...
Will WhatsApp him. I'm sure he said the Commencal importer is in Bris so might be possible to visit them to check out the different models. He has the orange 18 Essential with the coil shock and loves it
