The rubber cover is a really poor design especially when it's on the underside of the downtube...
I've got the Level R and take the battery out to charge (obviously not an option with your crafty). I ended up taping that cover on to prevent water getting in.
If you ride in muddy conditions I'd...
I don't think it's a solution for an off grid ebike holiday tbh
If it's only 1000Wh your only going to be able to charge one Ebike battery with it (inverter losses).
When you are riding you'll want it to be recharging from solar, so you're going to have to leave it somewhere it could get nicked?
I've just had UPS try and deliver a couple of XT mechs I ordered from Germany on 29.12.20.
They've asked for £51.51 in cash (that I didn't have on me, they don't have a card reader), so have gone back and will re-attempt tomorrow...
Purchase was £183.98 (including 20%VAT paid at the time)...
Last weekend started out well, some fresh powder to hit up!
Then 2 miles in my bike breaks again...
Had to revert to the pedal bike which has felt like an absolute slog in these conditions. I want my ebike back ?
*puts down cornflakes*
You must have been riding with your eyes closed haha...
Did you get a whack in the chops by one of those fish too (bass to mouth)??
All the best for a speedy recovery!
That will have put alot of stress through the headtube and seattube, I'd strip the bike down...
Hi All,
I'm looking for some way to mount cables inside the downtube, and wondered what other bikes use, and if they are available to buy online.
My frame came with some rubber tubing, similar to a cut down inner tube which holds 2-3 cables/hoses running down both sides of the downtube.
I've...
Cheers @Mteam
The connector that goes into the battery is the 3rd/4th pic in my last post and all looks like new.
I've just tried the charger and it charges up fine while in the bike.
So possibly the cable between the motor and battery is playing up?
Motor covers off - there's a fair amount of mud around the connections. I've given it a bit of a clean out and have had the connectors off and have a little spray on contact cleaner in them, allowed to dry and refitted (motor upside down in pic)
The biggest connector (assume going to...
Thanks for the replies. The speed sensor is in place, the gap appears to be 3-4mm but I don't think you can adjust this with the rotor type like you would with a spoke magnet?
This is what I see on the display, I'm not sure if I would have had an error code 503 if this was just related to the...
700 miles in and I've currently got no motor assistance, just cut out mid ride. Some more details here if anyone has any suggestions....

?
I've also taken the kiox display off its mount to check connections, all seems fine. I can still change modes on the handlebar controls but there is no speed shown
Hi all,
I've got a new issue and looking for advice if anyone can help.
3 miles into my snowy ride today the motor assistance cut out. My kiox display is still on but it shows a dash in the battery icon instead of a battery %, this is what you see if the battery isn't in the frame, so it's not...
Some useful info here
https://www.bosch-ebike.com/en/news/11-questions-about-the-ebike-battery/
I seem to remember seeing a graph which showed how leaving the battery at 100% would affect the amount of full cycles you got out of a battery, but can't find it now...
ETA - Page 25...
I've been riding in similar conditions and had to replace the first chain after 230 miles...
For 12 speed you should replace the chain at 0.5mm wear. You are going to need a new cassette too at 0.75mm ?
Probably best leaving it on now until it all starts skipping then replace both together.
This one then

Not sure if they are cheaper anywhere else? If you find out let me know I need one too :)
What motor is it?
Bosch have a different diameter lockring tool for different gen motors I believe.

This is my mates footage not mine, but he didn't have a gimble on and I'm pretty sure he doesn't have the lens mod. The view is from a full face chin mount ?
Pateley Bridge this morning, started off clear/sunny with a few dodgy ice patches, then the snow came down pretty fast, hiding any ice underneath making for an interesting ride...
We ended up bailing early as we weren't sure if we could get our vans back up a hill
