Technically speaking it's 6061 T6 aluminium, some people just refer to it as aircraft aluminium grade. I'm not going into boring folk to death about grades of aluminium but the 6061 I use is rated as one of the best for anodising.
Making them from aluminium was personal preference as I like the...
Thanks for the info on selling stuff. I didn’t really see myself as a business as I just make things in my spare time for anybody who wants them. I’ll send a message to the chap mentioned to see how I can sell my items without getting banned.
As for £25 being too expensive, for a pair of...
Anyone near Derbyshire UK with one of these Meta bikes who can bring it to me or I can meet somewhere so I can measure up for a proper bash guard? I don't know anyone with one. They look a very similar fitment to the Merida E bikes I currently make for.
1650 miles (2655km) on my E160. Hard + racing miles. Motor is fine. Just replaced the first chainring and cassette. On my third / fourth chain. I use two chains, swapping between them when I clean the bike. Three sets of brake pads. I’m really happy with wear rates and replace like for like...
Thanks for the advise but I’m selling them as fast as I can make them so I think I’ll leave them as they are. I’m in the midlands UK. When I get feedback like this I must be doing something right:
It’s a masterpiece. Very impressed with the design and engineering. I’m very happy with it. Thank...
Point taken. I do have a “rounder” version drawn up. Just rounded the corners etc. I know some people think looks are everything but the guard was primarily designed as a functional item so I didn’t really bother too much about the aesthetics. You can’t see them anyway.....unless you happen to...
If you have a Merida e bike this is what you need to protect not only the motor but chainring as well. Totally indestructible and supplied with all brackets, bolts etc. Fit in a couple of mins.
Merida E bike bash guard | eBay
Hi, it's probably because I have it only posting to UK. I can 't post to Aus for £5. It costs me about £25 to Australia. I have sent 3 out there already. If you want one it will be £70 GBP including postage. Payment via PayPal. I'll send you a message with details
Hi, not sure if you've seen the guards I make but they fit Shimano motors and protect the chainring. They are unbreakable. I've only done them for Merida E mtb's at the moment. I can do them for other bikes I just need to measure one up.
I need to get hold of a Commencal bike, my guard is definitely what you need. It WILL NOT break and with the special mounting bracket, that fits the Shimano motor, you get protection for your chainring too. Anybody in the U.K. available for a measure up?
