I laugh at your 52! I didn't even get my first mtb until I was 58.
I'm now 72 and the intervening years have been very well spent!
welcome to the Forum. :)
@Major Stare Years ago, I faced this problem. Initially I didn't consider prescription biking glasses. I looked at safety specs/goggles made for people that wear ordinary specs. There are lots of them about as they are made for industrial use. I tried quite a few but just could not get on with...
In the fucked-up world that is businesses in administration/receivership/whatever, it seems that morality no longer applies only the law.
If they can get the bike back, they can sell it to someone else (even if for less than you paid). They still have your money. Timing is everything. When the...
You are both equally correct. The outer race stays stuck to the bike frame. The inner race stays stuck to the axle. It's the balls and cage that move separately to both frame and axle. :)
I read that unlike the Wiggle/CRC car-crash, the folk running Islabikes are doing this voluntarily, they have just had enough, no longer enjoying it etc. They will be keeping a stock of spares and will be standing by warranty claims etc. Honorable.
I genuinely don't understand the phrase "you quote me to big note". Help me to understand please, I'm an old git and not up to date with some of the more recent phrases. I am not having a pop at you; I just don't know what it means.
I wasn't trying to get you! I was merely disagreeing with your...

Thanks for the post though, I like the idea of those Halfords bars. Xmas is coming! :)
Your post has surprised me, a lot. There was one guy last year that seemed to live for confrontation but he's gone now, got bored, I guess. I have found the Forum to be friendly and helpful right from the start (Nov'2018, before I even had taken delivery of my first emtb). I feel that I can post...
I have always liked the look and feel of the Kelly's bikes; I like their story. I first saw their semi-steel framed bikes first and liked it a lot. Then I rode one of their earlier aluminium alloy versions with a 50Nm motor when I was in the South of France. It was a hire bike and I was a bit...
By the way, when I was talking with my insurance broker about them taking on my bikes (pre emtb), we talked about gold secure bike chains and locks. I said that I spend a lot of money to get a light bike. An expensive bike makes it a target for thieves, which then means that insurance companies...
