My front wheel seemed to be buckled It felt ok but when riding it looked wobbly.

I tried a self test with a pencil on the forks and the rim looked true.

It was still the same so I took it to a lbs ( in France). They said the rim was ok but it was the tyre (Maxis Assengai) that made it appear to wobble.

Has anyone had this. Is it ok to ride or should I change the tyre?

try reseating the tyre first..............it may be not sitting fully on the bead. I have also had a problem in the past with the rim tape being doubled over on one section of the bead............same result the tyre did not sit fully into the bead at that point. The tyre has a line all a round the circumference just below the rim of the wheel. That is a good visual check that the gap between it and the rim is even all a round the rim on both sides.
