If you like the bike I'd look into the actual cost of repairing the motor before deciding to go new. maybe the bearing man can save the motor. Give the e-bike motor centre a call.

Got a 29er manitou mezzer on the front of my action team now. Running at 170mm travel. I've changed the headset to the Nukeproof integrated. At a bike park today for a proper test, will report back later 👍

Kept it at 170mm at the moment. The nice thing about the mezzer is you can easily adjust the travel from 180-140mm on the fly, so I might experiment a bit, though from my short test rides it's feeling pretty sweet

To be honest I didn't even try to push them in by hand, the old ones were tight in the frame and needed a fair bit of tapping to get out. I doubt I would have been able to push them in by hand, either that or you're abnormally strong 💪 Or I'm a weakling 😆 either way they are in now 👍

I used it to press the new cups into the frame.

3m heavy duty double sided tape is very strong, but you need to thoroughly clean both surfaces with isopropanol alcohol to achieve the strongest bond.

Replaced the shoddy acros plastic headset cups and bearings for the much nicer Nukeproof set up, also added a DMR defy stem 🤟 And when you don't want to splash out for the one job tools, just make your own 😆

Does this cause any damage/negative effect to the fork? I've set mine currently to 170mm, but thinking now to open them fully to 180mm and use this trick to adjust on the fly. If there is no negative to doing it this way, why use the spacers at all? I bought a cheap cassette tool and...
