I enjoy night riding, but none of my friends are interested at all, which is a shame, so I only go occasionally when the weather is decent.
I'm using a dual torch set up, which is plenty bright enough.
Interesting, yours is the first report I've read of the system picking up a speedi.
Seems it's detection is getting more and more sophisticated, though I'm not sure how it gets the data if you don't have the app running.
Do you have your bike connected to the flow app while riding, and do you have activity tracking enabled?
General consensus is to not connect to the flow app if using a manipulator.
Speed and mileage will record lower than actual, I believe cadence and power output readings are also affected...
I had a crank arm that kept coming loose, turns out the Isis lugs inside the arm had worn slightly, (probably from riding the bike unknowing the crank was slightly loose) no matter how tight the bolt was, and even using thread lock it would work loose again.
Only way to fix it was to replace...
Cheers guys
Went with the TRP's in the end, read some positive reviews, and I could get two for the price of one ice-tech.
Yet to try them as my bikes still broken
You guys are making me want to build my own, these builds look great 👍
Do they only offer one frame type?
I'd be after a enduro build, possibly with dual crown forks and coil shock.
Where are you buying the frame and motor systems from?
Also following. Exact same error code and symptoms on mine, zero assistance from the motor but can manually pedal fine.
Hoping it's just a simple speed sensor failure, but mine also had some configuration errors and wouldn't connect to the diagnostic machine, so I'm suspecting mine is a little...
Cheers Rusty, I was referring more to the thickness rather than the diameter.
I believe the Ice-tech rotors are 1.7 - 1.8mm thick.
Anyone used the TRP RC1 rotors? with XT calipers?
They have a claimed thickness of 2.3mm
How are you finding them?
I've never found the ice-techs to be...
Thanks for the suggestion, had a quick look and see that it's a 200mm x 2mm rotor.
I like the sound of a thicker rotor
Any fitment issues with the xt calipers.
I managed to bend my rear brake disc at BPW at the weekend, I've had a go at straightening it but it's a centre lock Shimano ice-tech with the cooling fins, so it's tricky getting it straight.
I can pick up another one for around £40 at the moment but I'm wondering if there are any other brands...
I'm not familiar with the brand but it's quite feasible that it has 110nm reported torque, however torque values alone won't tell you how the motor performs or the characteristics of how it applies that torque.
Both the Bosch cx and the Shimano ep8 have 85nm of torque but they feel very...
At BPW for the weekend and typically the bikes throw up an error, 523001 speed sensor error.
I've checked the magnet and connectors into the kiox and remote, all seem okay.
Is there anything else to check?
Other than that is it a warranty job 😔
And here we are back full circle to 20nm, backed up with an email from Cube as @MrPeaski shows.
So 11 or 20, who knows 🤷♂️
Think I'll go 15nm with quality thread lock 😆
I suspect Cube will try to brush this under the carpet if it is a genuine frame issue, imagine the recall cost for all...
