Bit of a misleading title IMHO. The issue being discussed is relevant to all brands, not just Shimano, and that is even mentioned in the video itself....

Merida E140 / e160 700 range are £5,200 / £5,300 and come with a mix of Fox / RockShox depending on which you choose. New EP8 motor with 630wh internal battery.

I'd be interested in this too, as I really don't like that gap with the foam being visible - shouts water ingress to me...

@vadll - does stunlocker support the new 4.1.4 firnware for the EP8 yet (just for standard functionality, not premium)?

Ouch - not a key on mine though, just allen key quarter turn to release. I'd prefer a key for security to be fair!

Update.. Guys have been very helpful - got an email back quickly saying passed to the workshop for review, and then a little later got the response from them saying they can see from the video that the bit behind the nut is broken. Initially given a price to replace, but challenged that saying...

Iv'e emailed the shop with a link to the video, so will see what they come back with. Hopefully it is something they can just sort for me when I take the bike in for the 6-8 week initial service as it's about a 2 hour drive each way to get there from home so definitely not just a "nip in"...

Hi, Picked up my new 2021 Merida E-OneForty 700 on Saturday, and I'm either really, really stupid or I have a problem with the new bike! I cannot remove the internal BT-E8036 battery. I've uploaded a short video demonstrating what I'm doing to try to remove it. Trying to remove battery Help!!

What make/model is that?

If that's a giant torque wrench then I dread to think how big the pump is ;-)

I can get on board with the logic of a waterless cleaner for an e-bike, but drivetrain cleaner and lube is more than pushing it!

Is there any feedback on the performance of the E8036 batteries? (the 630Wh internal ones used for the EP8). Really hoping that it doesn;t suffer the same issues that the 8035 has...

@KuRi - Have you got any more details on that mount for the cubot? Looks like a great setup (though ideally a Wahoo version for me as I've got mounts on all of my bikes for my Elemnt!!).

I'm hoping to be able to pick up my Merida eOne-Forty 700 next Saturday (27th), so no suggestions from me yet :-)

Have you tweaked your settings any further since those initial changes?
