    Photochromic Eye Protection

I've used prescription frames/lenses from Optilabs for about the last 4 years and they are great. They will even send you sample frames out to try (free) for fit before you order. When you order you just choose the lens options, give them your prescription details and they arrive about a week...

    Merida Eone sixty 5000 2020

There's a whole Merida dedicated sub-forum, including a lengthy thread on the e160, so I'd suggest having a look there.

    Sherwood Pines parking

I find on my ebike the red is much more enjoyable than the blue, whereas it's definitely the opposite on an analogue bike as there are so many flowing sections on the blue that suit over 15.5mph. There is nothing on the red that can't be rolled or avoided if you don't feel comfortable - give it...

    Sherwood Pines parking

Just done a couple of laps of the red this morning. Nice to see the closed sections back open again in the 2 weeks since I was last there too!

    Braking technique question

I was being sarcastic at an experienced rider seemingly boasting about not bothering to wear a helmet for the vast majority of the time.....

I'm surprised you've only been out for 6 rides so far this year.

Size advice for a noob please

Like Tony, I'm 5'10" and have an XL in the 140 which is equivalent to an L in the 160. I've got short legs and a long upper body, so my seat is only a few mm from at the lowest possible setting, and the reach etc is just about right. As per Steve's advice, try to check the geometry (it's all...

Is EP8 "kick on" a feature from a firmware upgrade??? What is it??

I've not tried the Bosch, but have an EP8 in my 2021 Merida e140. If has 3 x configurable options - Assist Character (1-10), Max Torque (1-10) and Assist (1-5), with each of the 3 being set separately for the Eco, Trail and Boost modes, and for each of the 2 x profiles. I think that the latter...

    Shin pads

I got these last week from Amazon, and I managed to endure them for a single ride. They are the most uncomfortable thing I have ever encountered whilst riding. They dig into my shins, and with my knee protectors going over them, it puts further pressure on them and caused actual bruising to my...

    Tire puncture

Remember the air pressure will be pushing the patch against the tire, so that will help to keep it in place longer term.

    Transporting bike complete Inside car

My Merida e140 easily fits in my Tesla Model 3 with the front wheel removed, and plenty of spare space. I use a wheel bag for the front wheel to avoid any damage. Most EVs also have flat (or close to) rear footwells, so lots of usable space for the other random kit you take with you.

ST Ride App - Tracker/dash/logger for STEPS motors

@vadII - would it be possible to add configurability to allow users to select the data that appears on the dash & map screens? Not chage the format/layout, just the fields that are displayed.
