After waiting too long to get the OneUp 150, I couldn't get one when I needed to, so I ended up getting a Fox Transfer 150.
As below pic, does not nearly slam and looks pretty much like the OEM one it terms of how far it sticks out, even worse perhaps. The good news though is the butt-to-pedal...
Something I forgot when I typed that up yesterday, when I got the bike flashed for Tour+ the guy in the shop asked me if I was using lights on the bike. I'm not even sure there's a connector, but I said no, and then he said some of my battery was reserved for lights, and he'd give it me back. I...
Yeah the Tour+ mode does result in a little more muscle load I think, and a few more calories burnt, but it's quite a lot less fun. I don't think it's worth the trade off, unless needing the increased range/ride time. I tend to push a certain amount on the bike and I actually have trouble...
Got Tour+ loaded at the LBS yesterday. I don't muck around :)
Went for a ride this morning, duplicating a ride I did 2 days ago in eMtb mode.
First, this is in eMTB, this is my local trails and a ride I'm doing frequently as I'm working on shedding some lard:
Same ride in Tour+ this morning. I...
Lol, I use eMTB all the time, because I just want to go fast. I still push around 200w myself but that pretty much eats a 625W battery in two hours. That ~200w effort level, I can't hold more than that for 2 hours (2 hour interspersed with descending, of course). I'm pedaling a fair amount more...
Any ideas where I can buy one? Having trouble finding one...
EDIT: nvm, found one Specialized Sub MY19 Levo FSR Speedsensor Magnet Kit - Joondalup Cycle City
Interesting. I bought one Michelin, a WIld Enduro, and when mounted it was horribly buckled. So much so that I couldn't stand watching it on the front so I chucked it. I've never once had such an issue in probably towards a hundred maxxis tyres across many different models. Maybe we get them...
I'm not so sure. From what I see about pro rider setups they're generally pushing as much pressure as possible into their suspension to cope with the massive impacts, and doing a shitload of gym work to do the same with their body. Seems to me they drive the bike into the ground with their...
Frankly I think that's pathetic on Specialized's part. Even if he was over the rated max weight, snapping the bike so quickly is scary. I would never be happy getting any sort of air on this model.
And brakes size? The standard brakes can lock the back wheel up easily. I'm not sure how a larger...
I cannot remember who it was but I read a post recently on here where someone had tried their power meter pedals on a Bosch equipped ebike (with Kiox too I think) and it was very close. So I think we can assume the Bosch user-wattage logging is pretty good. If you look at the tech they put in...
My 2 cents. I'll always derestrict to 32km/h. It was nice with an e8000 to be able to use Stunlocker, switch to USA, and keep everything else standard. If I'd thought about it more I'd probably have not gone Bosch, but hopefully the Volspeed that's on it's way does the job.
On my local trails...
Nah it's legit. For what it's worth, a lot did line up between Found My Fitness' report and DNAFit, for me. Neither are places where I got my DNA tested, that was 23andMe and is more focused on ancestry. Basically they have to comb through really large amounts of data from studies to isolate...
I think you missed this bit in bold:
A huge number of riders use clipless. It's another thing for the market to push. And it's seen as a rite of passage for newbs, so a lot of riders end up getting used to them. Like I said, I'm not saying clipless is worse, I'm saying it's not better, IMO...
Tell that to Sam Hill :)
Nah, in all fairness, I suppose in some ways I could entertain clipless on an eMtb more than on a regular bike, simply because getting hung up while pedalling up gnar is less likely with the motor and long travel. I did have a couple of upsetting falls doing that on...
Went and did it. I already have the DNA data so figured, I might as well.
Pretty interesting. There's a lot of detail in here separately for diet, fitness, nutrients, stress & sleep.
Diet-wise, it tells me I tolerate fats better than carbs, but a LOT of saturated fat will not work well for me...
Yeah I've heard about this too, where they can now tell from certain genes how well people will respond to training stimuli, and there are different genes for strength vs endurance, etc. The writing is on the wall for us mere mortals :)
There's actually this service: Accurate DNA Test For Diet...
Excellent, thanks.
I note also you've strapped the battery door. I do have a rattle but I figured it's the Bosch Rattle. It's really not as bad as I feared, doesn't bother me too much. But maybe there's a battery door factor too. Or are you just worried about losing the door?
And what...
Sadly, my issue is with visceral fat. I mean - I'm overweight and I don't carry much fat elsewhere. I'm well aware that it's terrible, and it's also a very good indicator of insulin resistance. I think it's the source of my metabolic woes and I think I brought it about with excessive beer...
