I really hope the first two in particular aren't a 100% thing, because I just got both :)
I have had two ride-stopping breakages. But neither Treks fault. Touch wood lol...
I think they're fine, I scraped the alloy rings out of the pedal spindle threads and it appears unharmed, much sturdier stuff that the thread it raped. Shame really, new pedals would have been cheaper than new carbon cranks :) but not cheaper than new alloy cranks...
AXS I haven't tried, and I'm just not driven too :)
Honestly though using the XT 12 speed derailleur with the XTR shifter I cannot notice a difference in the shifting it's still absolutely perfect, it just CLANGS into the next gear either way. I can't see why I'd want AXS, other than bling (I...

Mmmhmm. The XTR derailleur I broke the carbon bit. Probably wouldn't have broken if it was XT and alloy (I think it's alloy).
Hahahaha, no fkn way am I going to be (dollar-wise) upgrading from those $500-ish carbon bits. I can see the alloy e13 equivalent for $129. Those will be going on :)
So I nuked my crank arm today, on the 6th ride. I nuked my XTR derailleur on ride 4, or a chunky stick did while I was pedalling down a fast descent. Now on ride 6 I've nuked the bike for the weekend :(
I was riding down fast and the pedal felt wobbly, I stopped and checked, it all seemed good...
I think if Bosch did a mid power setup like this it'd make a lot of people happy and sell a lot of bikes. In all honesty, I don't think I'd care much, I'd just stick with my Gen 4 and 750wh. I can full turbo shuttle for a bit over 2 hours or go hard in eMTB mode for over 3 hours, and I wouldn't...
Yeah and I mean he seems to think hardtails have a place in a world with full suspension bikes... ;)
I jest. Mostly...
Seems like a nice guy, I like his channel, I've built up a hardtail to "get back to roots" about five times, and each time regretted it. I seem to have issues learning...
It really should fix your pinch flat issues, 100% does for me, and I get them all the time without cushcore even at high pressures. I take tire plugs and hopefully that fixes any flat but if it doesn't you can ride out on the cushcore sedately, I've done it. It will annihilate the tire, but it's...
This is clearly all your fault steve_sordy.
I have never snapped a derailleur. This morning I started out on the trails and was honestly thinking "glad we don't have shrubs to break our derailleurs" and a few moments later on a descent, this happened to my XTR derailleur on my new bike...
Yeah, IME the non-e bike will get old pretty fast :)
Just ride the ebike 2x as much as you ever rode the analog, all evens out :)
... and welcome, btw!
AMS "All Mountain Style" XXL frame protection kit. I can't believe I paid $150 AUD for a few sticky bits of plastic. Looks like crap to the point I'm only leaving the downtube and back of the seat stay covered. So $150 for even less stickers.
Long story short, I bought a Fuel EXe and while I was quite enamoured with the bike at first, things got a bit meh. I lost interest and it was a big chunk of money to fork out for something not that interesting to me.
Trek earnt themselves a repeat customer and budding fanboy by letting me swap...
