It connects to your shock or suspension through the air valve and measures all the pressure variations during a ride. You then get a summary of how your ride went in terms of suspension events and it gives you sugestions for tuning your shock or fork:
No. The shock started making loud squishy noises when compressed. I sent it to a Fox service center and they confirmed that it just needed the yearly service.
My e-thirteen rear hub has strangely become very silent. It still engages well, but the silence makes me wonder if the pawls are getting stuck because of dirt inside. I must find time to open it up and clean it ?
Actually no. I started fretting about which spring to buy and in the end opted to buy a second hand Quark Shockwiz to fine tune the DPX2. The shockwiz works great, but I also found that my DPX2 was in need of servicing. After being serviced by fox and fine tuned with the shockwiz, the DPX2 now...
Yeah, when I saw a new cassette in detail I noticed that. That's why I thought mine will probably last a while longer if I keep on changing chains regularly. The EX1 cassette is really expensive, but it probably lasts 3 times longer than other cheaper ones.
Well, since the lack of answers is an answer in itself and I really enjoy the EX1, I ended up buying a new EX1 derailleur. I guess the cassette isn't so bad and will handle a few km more.
Just installed the new derailleur today and replaced the shifter cable placing some chain wet lube inside...
My Meta Power's Sram EX1 drivetrain has now done 1.300km and it has worked fine up until now (I'm on my third EX1 chain and it's still under 0.5 stretch). The problem is I banged my derailleur a few days ago and it's slighlty bent so it's time, either to buy a new one or upgrade the whole...
Yeah, thanks for the clarification. I always thought the Commençal had a four-bar design because the axle sits below the back pivot point. Apparently I'm not the only one making this mistake - Antonio Osuna also calls the Commie a four-bar
Ok, I'm zooming on the pictures of both frames and now I see that the Commençal has the axle on the chainstay while the Spectral has the axle on the seatstay. Is that why the pivot on the Commençal cannot be considered a horst link?
Could you please explain how the Spectral and the Meta Power have different suspension designs?
In my ignorance I look at both frames and I see exactly the same design with the same rotation points (horst links in both frames). I put both designs side by side with the pivots and linkage marked...
I'm kind of itching to replace the DPX2 with a Fox DHX2, but it's a big investment, especially going for an SLS Ti coil (a must for aesthetic reasons :p).
Has anyone done the same? I don't know if I have the DPX2 well dialed but I feel it becomes too harsh when there are lots of small bumps...
Actually my market is the internet  (you know the wiggles, chainreactions, probikes, alltricks, bike24, bikecomponents, bikediscounts and whatnot). It's funny, but the only website I can find that mentions a PC-1051 chain with more than 114 links is the Sram website. No one else has...
I bought a new PC-1051 chain to rotate with the one I have on my Meta Power, but it turns out that my current chain has 116 links and the new ones only come with 114 links. I cannot find a 116 link chain anywhere (although SRAM says on their website that the PC-1051 exists in different lengths...
I've been entertaining the idea of buying the wife an eBike, so we can do some rides together and some touring, but I'm not in the mood to spend a lot of cash as I know she won't really use it that much. That's how I came across Decathlon's Rockrider E-ST900:
This thing looks great value on...
So, if I understood well, one should have 3 chains. Use the first for 800km, swap for the second until the odo reaches 1600km, use the 3rd chain until the odo reaches 2400, then install the first chain again and do the cycle again. Is that correct?
I followed the Fidlock suggestion and bought a 600ml bottle plus the unibase mount and a Mutherload strap. After two rides with some jumps I'm pretty happy with the setup. It feels great to be free of the backpack :p
Saw this article today. 1 KWh/Kg would be a dream come true for e-bikes or for EVs. Perhaps it's all hype, but surely with so much effort put into developing new battery technologies, sometime soon there will be a breakthrough. When it will trickle down to e-bike batteries is another issue.
I would like to buy a Thule thruride for the ability to lock the bike when you want to stop for a coffee or a beer, but my bike weighs 18kg without the battery and front wheel. The Thule website states 17kg as the loading capacity. Don't know if going 1kg above the capacity is risking or not...
In my opinion the bikes are great and are among the best value in the market today. My Meta Power came with the speedometer wrongly calibrated for my wheel size (the odometer read more distance than the reality and the motor would shut down once I reached 20km/hour). I called the after sales to...
