My E +2 has had the same issue. The battery shim was installed and haven't had the issue since. I also had the issue with the freehub, which was replaced, and haven't had another issue yet. IMO, all of these new E-bikes have problems. Read through the other brand forums and you see the same...
Yes, I also had to have my 11th gear replaced as it kept slipping as well after my freehub was replaced. I know the consensus is that it's the power of the motor that keeps causing these hub issues but truth be told, on the trail I typically ride with mine in the very lowest setting or even...
Ok. Did they replace yours with another OEM hub or something different? My LBS showed me my freehub body and how the grease was too thick and preventing the pawls from pushing out all of the way. This was, of course, causing the pawls to skip over the teeth on the hub. Possible this is what...
Are you sure that the Sram chain ring is worn? Here is a pic of a brand new one I have, and other than paint worn off on yours the profile of the teeth look like they may be the same?
My freehub body was replaced with another OEM freehub about 6 weeks ago. So far I have not had any other issues. Then again my hub never stopped functioning totally. Apparently the pawls were just sticking and skipping over the teeth on the hub. I am curious as to what hub issues everyone is...
60% charge is for when you are storing the battery. There are a few electronic options to deristrict or you can do the free, move the sensor to the outside of triangle and stick the magnet on the end of the pedal/crank.
Yes, that is exactly the issue that I was experiencing. LBS replaced the freehub and all is well now. Supposedly, only one of the three pawls were engaging due to too thick of grease having been used and pawls unable to fully extend out and grab. Makes sense to me. If only one pawl is...
Well, after 7 - 8 rides and about 200km, my E +2 shut off on me 6 or 7 times today. This is the first time this has happened. My battery is not at all loose. If anything, it may fit a little too tightly. Actually, I haven't even removed the battery to charge after the first couple of rides...
My E+ 2 was the same way. Came with tubes in and included a bottle of sealant. Bike shop converted to tubeless for me before I picked up the bike. If you look on Giant's site under the bikes specs, it lists tubeless kit under "Extras".
In the U.S. the price difference from E+ 1 to E+ 2 is $735 or around 575 pounds, so I went for the E+ 2. The other deciding factor though was the E+ 2 was available right away. For 300 pound difference I would probably go for the E+ 1. I guess color is also a deciding factor though.
