Depends on the use case really. For me, I want to smash out after work laps as quickly as I can, to maximise my downhill time. A full fat therefore made sense to me. I have my regular bike for group rides, trips away, uplifts etc. I rode a Levo SL. Great, fun, bike, but it was so slow...
I think it depends where you are. They have a location in the UK now. All my warranty stuff was suspension, so I was able to just take it off and send to Silverfish/Fix in the UK.
I rode a medium. On paper it was very small. My Privateer was 30mm longer! In reality, the bike handled amazingly and really made me reconsider how much stock I put into a geo chart. You're absolutely right, the only way to really know is to ride one. For reference, I live in The Tweed...
Yes you need the YT bottle, which is fine but expensive. I had the previous Shred which is pretty similar. Still one of the most fun bikes I've ridden. Every fox component on it shat the bed, the brakes were absolutely useless (Code Rs) but amazingly, the motor is still going strong...
Do you mean when you have the shock off the bike with the link attached that there is some play between shock and link? If so, mine was like that from new, so I don't think it's an issue. As long as there is no play when everything is attached together.
Serious question. Is standover height particularly relevant on a mountain bike? Dropper size and insertion would seem to have superseded that. Genuinely interested as it's not something I would ever look at.
Without wishing to be patronising, it sounds like your issues are much more connected with your riding than with your geo or bike set up. Working on the fundamentals of body position will yield far more results that tweaking bar angles. I think it's important to recognise that not all things can...
Perhaps you are riding a bit far off the back of the bike on the steeps, which in turn is reducing your front grip. If you're then using a lot of front brake because it's really steep, then it could be easier to lock the front wheel. All of which could be exacerbated by having a slacker than...
