So the demo E+1 I tried at Ashgrove Giant did the same thing to me, I was standing in the shop when it happened and the pedal whacked me in the back of the leg at full speed... Ouch!!
Hopefully this isn't a common occurrence. Have had my E+1 out in the rain once and it seemed fine, I was only...
Yeah I had a few hard hits today, partly my technique but also the cranks seem pretty long. Thankfully nothing to knock me off yet but still a bit of a pain
Yeah I got the SQLabs bars and stem from them too, if you do change your bars be aware of the stem size too, I had to replace both. They sent me an SQlabs shirt and cap too which was a nice touch :)
It took me a while to track one down but I got it from here in the end - http://www.eightyonespices.com.au
I also got some 45mm SQLabs riser handle bars, and a new stem to match. I'm 6"5 so the standard bars were a bit low for me.
Thanks for the help guys. The cable had to much tension on it from when I lowered it, so it was locked in the half open position. I removed the lever and then pulled the seat post all the way out and adjusted the cable at the bottom of the post. Seems to be working now.
S
Seems to be the lever end. If I try to press the lever it moves the smallest amount but it just feels like the flex of the plastic rather than the level actually being depressed.
Ok I think this is my issue, I did lower the main position of the seat post as it was a bit high for her. I think I tighten the clamp to much.
What can I do to fix it though? If I loosen things off and adjust it slightly I still have the same issue whereby the lever is pretty solid and the...
Hi Guys
So a friend rode my wife's E+3 and now the dropper post won't stay down. The lever is very stiff and seems to have no movement in it. I can easily push the seat down but it just pops right back up. I have tried adjusting the cable tension using the little plastic cover next to the lever...
Yeah had the seat on for a few weeks now. To me it makes a big difference, the standard seat on my 36km round trip commute left me in agony! But this new seat is completely different, I get a very slight ache now but thats just my butt getting used to riding again. I can easily ride to work and...
So testing things on my ride home tonight. I can consistently make it happen, after pedalling for a bit, if you do a half crank turn backwards, and then forward again I feel it knock. I don't really hear it too much though.
No, mine is very similar to yours whereby it only seems to do it when i reengage the pedal. If i keep an even cadence then i dont notice the clunk, but if i stop and start then it becomes noticeable.
My E+1 has the same sound, i just assumed it was the motor kicking in when you turn the crank. I assume that because the bike can free wheel without the motor turning, then you engage the crank something has to lock into the motor, and hence the sound.
I am no expert so I cant say my theory is...
My Trance E+1 (same as yours) seems to have very good range. Your range does not sound right. Of course things like rider weight, amount of climbing, head wind, tyre pressure, etc, can all effect the range but 8-10 miles on a charge does not seem correct. I can get to work and back (36km total)...
There are 3rd party apps for Android (not sure about iOS) that allow you to force the screen to stay on. One for Android that I used was called Caffine.
Thanks dude, we love them!
Yeah it was a shame about the little crash... it was soft ground and the bikes are heavy so the front end slipped underneath her and she hit the deck, I saw it happen in slow motion. Hopefully it doesn't effect her confidence too much, best thing to do is get back on...
Wife and I went for a ride up to the top of Mt Coot-tha on Saturday. It was stupidly hot but still great fun!
Wife had a bit of a fall on one of the decent, a few scrapes and bruises but nothing serious thankfully! More protective gear required for the next ride I think!
