I downgraded my 2020 Rail 7 a while ago partly do to me thinking emtb dont need a 50T granny,
and partly due to Covid, no stock of parts!
i took mine down to deore 11-42 10speed, which is dandy, parts are cheap and plentyful,
Zee shifter deore mech, HG freehub was the dearest thing ,but now...
Im, 5,11+3/4" but ive a good reach but short legs too, all my bikes have been a large, so touch wood,
that all depends if any arrive in the UK ????? :{
I emailed a few stores (3) locally about availability of a 22 Nduro 7 in a large and the
replies were,
store No1, Haibike have not stated an accurate delivery date,
store No2, Haibike UK will know more in a few weeks , that was 2 weeks ago !!
store No3, said that they wont commit to...
Rob, make sure you get the bike out in all weathers to give it a thorough testing please!👍 It will be interesting to see if the “new” Bosch smart system, has improved waterproofing as regards the electrical connections to the motor !! My 2020 Rail as been plagued with errors that have occurred...
That’s really good to know, but it doesn’t help us poor folk, who have spent on earlier spec Bosch gen 4 powered bikes!!! 🤨
Unless Bosch are admitting there is an issue with the water resistance of the electrical system, and issuing a warranty recall to fix A KNOWN FAULT 🤬!!! Not goin to hold my...
Yeh, deffo! and a good level of waterproofing on the connections and motor seals!!!
Manufacturers should maybe field test the motors in the wet climate of the UK rather than the sunny, dusty climates of the Alps in summer! 😡 Cos I’ll bet a pound to a piece of 💩 that they don’t need to wash test...
Firstly, any bike could fail and leave you stranded far form civilisation, one of my riding pals had his freehub fail about 7 miles from home on a clockwork !!
I've had numerous similar faults occurred with my rail 7, plenty of which discussed on this forum.
I think the bike shop are unlikely...
The error codes that have cropped up are 500( internal error drive unit) 503( speed sensor) 530( battery pack error)
when 530 cropped up that was caused with the battery catch failing and the battery decided to throw itself on the ground at about 25 mph!!
bike shop run diagnostics check and...
That’s brilliant and abit of reassurance! Have they given any warranty cover on the new motor going forward? I think I’m on motor No5 ! Last one only lasted 6 weeks, some electrical failure due to moisture, all my motors have been due to water in electrical connections, ( I ride in all weathers...
Hi. my 2020 rail is out of warranty in july this year, when i purchased mine from ( The Edge Cycleworks Lancaster) i asked the question about warranty, and they quoted to me that Bosch are pretty good with honouring a bit of leeway on the 2 year, (a few weeks) especially if its been in the shop...
Just found this blurb ont web, the jacket seems to be rated 3 for waterproofing, but without seeing a label, not sure if the breathabilty is class 3 ?
I’ll have to rip it off my mates back, next time I see him wearing it and have a look-see at the label 😂👍👍...
A mate of mine works outside quite often, I spotted him with one of these jackets and asked him if it wer a biking jacket? He said it was for tree workers/ arborists etc !!
I looked at the cut/ design and it seemed to tick nearly all the boxes ( long cut at the back , big hood to fit over...
My 2020 Trek Rail when into the shop a couple of week before Christmas, with error code 530, they run diagnostics and when I collected it, a week later, they fitted new controller, new battery lead, new motor,( motor No3) 🤨but said they may be an issue with the speed sensor, which is a Trek...
My 2020 Rail 7 managed 3000 UK miles before error 500 cropped up (JULY 2021), new motor fitted and turned round within 48 hrs,
bike is now back in the shop awaiting a motor/purion controller/battery power lead, with errors 530/503 bike has done about 1200 miles on the replacement motor , no...
Just make sure you dont open the charging flap more than 3/4 open, when you plug charger in,
otherwise you,ll end up taping the flap shut like many other Rail owners have had to resort to!!
See the charging port thread!!
