Thanks for the tips just been out in the shed, gave the bike a good clean and gentle hose down all bolts were torqed correctly. I removed the forks and checked headset, looks okay but I packed a bit of grease in there as did seem a bit dry on the bottoms bearings.
It seems to be doing it all...
My jam2 has started making an annoying noise when riding. At first I thought it was the headset as it's that kinda noise but upon further inspection it happens when I push the rear end down. It's not the saddle or seat post.
Any ideas what it could be? The bike is only 2-3 weeks old so...
I just found this on another website "Riders will benefit from Pike’s increased steering authority—thanks to BOOST™-only spacing, stiffness and lighter overall weight—more small-bump compliance and the potential to run wider (29 x 2.8" or 27.5 x 3.0") tires."
So hopefully be okay ?
Thankyou. Its a bit confusing though because here they are listed as working for both wheel sizes RockShox Pike RCT3 Fork 29" / 27.5+ Boost, 140mm Travel, DebonAir, Charger2, Crown Adjust, Tapered, 51mm Offset, B1
& on chain reaction it has it listed as 29er fork in the 51mm offset option...
are all Rockshox boost forks compatible with both 27plus and 29er wheels?
my current forks are 27plus and have a 51mm offset. it says they are suitable for 27plus and 29er wheels. I want to upgrade them but I can only find forks with 51mm offset listed as 29er fork.
Can anyone help?
Nearly had one of these but the local moustache dealer thought they'd try put the price up after we had done the deal and Id paid deposit.
Ended up with a focus jam2 instead
I will speak with my where I bought the bike and see what they suggest. where I ordered online they are not local for me to get them to do it. Ive always done my own maintenance in the past, its just the motor bit that's new to me. Sure ill get there in the end
Looking at bars and stem upgrades, is it worth going for 35mm bars on Ebikes or does it not really make a difference?
31.8mm bar and stem has always been fine on my other mtbs, but wondered if they'd be better for Ebikes.
