Description For Sale is my 2018 Spectral ON: 7, size Medium, bought direct from Canyon February 2019.
The bike wants for nothing with no expense spared, specs as...
It is a nice touch… but its all for nought if its a s*** tyre and s*** sealant! 4 Years riding my Schwalbe/Stans combo setup on my Canyon Spectral On and not a single issue with puncture's. First ride out on my new Trek 9.8 and get a small cut puncture, which the junk turquoise sealant failed...
Cheers for that! Explains why it is almost bottoming out on big drops. I am currently in the US so have some ordered. Almost impossible to find or purchase them in the UK!
Hi Guys
Here is my new 22 Mullet Rail 9.8XT (Large).
The bike is 3 rides old and I am enjoying just how good it is in the rough stuff. It is a burly bike, so turning is not as nimble as my medium Canyon Spectral On, which is why I decided to Mullet it and this has noticeably improved its...
Did you ride the Super Deluxe before fitting the MegNeg?
Yes, 2019 Super Deluxe.
What problems did you have that you believed the MegNeg would improve?
As advertised, I was looking for a more linear feel. Without the MegNeg, I ended up with to many spacers to stop the shock from bottoming (I...
Depending on the speed you compress the shock, it can be interpreted as grinding... but yes, I agree Steve, that was a poor description, "squelching" is a better word.
If there is any doubt, I have since upgraded my Deluxe to a Super Deluxe with MegNeg air can. Same "squelching" noise as the...
Hi Don
It’s simply the 2ml of Maxima 15w50 oil transferring between the positive and negative chambers of the shock. Rockshox confirmed this after contacting them.
Cheers G
Yes, I have all three installed. You have to thread the cable through the rubber retaining rings first then slide them onto the bars in small increments, largest ring first then thinner rings towards the bar ends.
Those are the Acros upper and lower complete headset cups and bearings. Press the old bearings out and refit with new bearings (I did mine yesterday). Its that or buying the entire upper and lower cup with bearings!

I’ve stripped and serviced my free hub, rear shock, replaced shock linkage bushings and bearings, chainring, cassette and chain, may as well do the forks whilst I am at it.... Looks like another wet cold mud fest this weekend!
10ml of 0w-30 in the lowers. TBH it’s only lube for the bushings so 2.5wt is not going to be a problem. I’ve got 18 Lyriks, but service mine using the 2019/2020 service manual. As per manual, I use RS Dynamic seal grease on the seals and inject 2-3 ml of 0w-30 in the air spring upper side...
You can get it from TFTuned. Great bit of kit, Running 1 token, and 3 bands has improved my Super Deluxe and the way the rear behaves much like what R120 explained! I no longer blow through all my travel on big hits and always have about 5mm left for when I need it. ?
Hey Rob, as you're not too far from me (I am in Mychett/Ash Vale), why not pop over and take a look at my Custom to get an idea of what it's like to own. Long wheel base, double cab, 170 Auto.
