Still bitterly cold but sunny and dry which makes for just perfect riding conditions. Ill make the most of it while I can as the forecast isnt great
Another grand day out topped off with a traditional warming down routine…
Helens Tower, N Ireland today.
Winter returned last night and left her mark. It was a very cold, icy and sunny pootle today but riding conditions were just about perfect. Just shy of a 19 mile grand day out.
No big sticky bun today - just a coffee which was very welcome. The mandatory bacon...

Another cold day but perfect riding conditions along local trails that (mostly) are nice and dry.
New wheels on today and Im happy with them and the tyre combo. Felt I rolled faster and definitely noticed a faster engagement. But of course that...
Ballyholme, Bangor N Ireland earlier.
Perfect riding conditions made for a perfect 20 mile loop which of course included mandatory coffee and rather large sticky bun.
Was cold, sunny, bit windy and a bit muddy in places but above all a grand day out.

Another pootle around some muddy trails on a cold and sunny day.
Travelled much further than I thought and still have 60% battery.
A grand day out indeed.

What a difference a day or two makes. I must have slept through the recent monsoon that turned the trails from mostly dry and firm to wet and muddy.
Nonetheless it was another grand day out.
No buns today. Or fairies.

Another perfect day for a ride - cold but sunny and dry. Trails continue to dry out and today was 20 miles of fun.
Visited Trail Builders HQ and thought about trying a jump or two. That thought lasted a nano second before I caught myself on. As...

Trails have dried out really well and are riding rather nicely.
A cold but dry and extremely enjoyable pootle today. Bliss.

A thoroughly enjoyable pootle through some very frozen and slippy trails which were just brilliant to ride.
Adequate nutrition is, of course, a vital prerequisite to any ride.
Worth checking the settings as some users have reported both profiles to be set low out of the box.
Im chuffed with mine - and as Ive said, it will climb the steepest climbs as well as the E8000 but will be a tiny bit slower on the long drawn out uphills. Enjoy!
Thats pretty much it. You can adjust the motor settings eg max torque in either profile via the app. I tend to stick with the one profile which I have tweaked to suit me. Some folk set a profile with battery economy in mind which obviously provides less assist but more distance. I have found the...
I went from an E8000 70nm to an EP8 RS 60nm ( Rise H30) and have found very little difference. The EP8 encourages you to pedal more and use your gears more and on my local trails I have thoroughly enjoyed it and not struggled at all. There probably is a slight difference during longish steepish...

Was used extensively for scenes in Game of Thrones. Winter had certainly come as it was baltic
This was the start of something good….
