    Bangor, N Ireland earlier. Towards the end of a very warm, very dusty and very enjoyable pootle around North Downs finest trails. The lifeboat had just returned from rescuing a man and child who had got into diffs. Thankfully there were no casualties.

    That is a pastie supper. The chippy only took cash and I only had a fiver and my card so felt like a child in a sweet shop working out how much I could get with my pocket money! The guy working in the chip shop (not Elvis) took pity and knocked a few pence off the price!

    Castlewellan, Co Down, N Ireland about an hour ago. Found it hard going today and I’m not sure how much of that is a legacy of Covid or just my general fitness (what little there was) has diminished. It was still great to get out though. D
