The extra weight was needed, I have seen 2 cracked Rail frames and trek increased the travel on the new rail. More travel generally means people are going to ride them harder.
lol at gram counters on e bikes. Fun fact, bikes without motors and batteries weigh less than e bikes. You worried about weight, ride a meat powered bike.
Another one, what’s the most reliable drive unit? Please don’t say Bosch or Shimano. Bosch bearings leak and rust and ep801’ s leak water into the circuit boards and shut down. You want a bulletproof drive unit, get a Yamaha x3… if they fail, they are rebuild able.
Guess it’s what you see people riding, where I ride there are a lot of cannondale e bikes, they have both Bosch and Shamano drive units depending on models and I have seem they both have had issues. The Bosch eat bearings and shamano’s circuit boards seem to have issues.
Just like my knees, it’s not the age, it’s the mileage 🙁
I guess what I am trying to say is electric derailleurs are kinda like the Boy Scouts Of America . Hey let’s hand my kid over to a stranger and they can go into the woods together over night……who thought this was a good idea? Same goes...
lol at alloy chain rings on an e bike…. What’s the saying about a fool and his money? ….. good luck, let us know how long they last. If you do any real climbing it will be toast in 500 miles.
Hey, let’s take a peace of electronics out in the woods and cover it in mud, soak it in water then cover it in moon dust and smack it with rocks and tree limbs…..What could go wrong?😑
1) anyone buying a dji bike is being a beta tester. Zero info on how reliable the drive unit is.
2) the dji bike is a trail bike. What’s the point in a trail e bike? My meat powered bike is a trail bike. My e bike is a Kenevo or in other words a bike that is so big, you don’t want to peddle it...
I beat the hell out of my Kenevo with no issues, over built alloy frame for the win👍
It would be interesting to see if you could hang a Kenevo rear triangle on a Levo.
My lbs guy is telling me the new Levo is tied to the release of the Brose motor….. that thing sounds pretty dam cool….. no belt, nm over 100 and better water seals…… it will also be UL approved…..so far my guy has been on the nose…… we will see
Pretty sure these will do it, your rear hub should be the ratchet style rather than the 3 paw dt Swiss. I have seen on other forums some of the dt Swiss 370 rear hubs were paw style so you should check it.
