Managed to get myself a set of Fiveten free ride shoes for a decent price. Tried them out on Sunday and I’m well impressed. Comfy, good fit and grippy. I’ll need to get some waterproof socks for winter as I usually just ride in merino wool socks. Also got a pair of Madison trail shorts in the...
Exhaust gets in the way and would rather not have the outlay of a towbar etc anyway. Thinking of trying the Halfords one and if it isn’t suitable I can always take it back. Just wondering if it will fit with the rear spoiler on the car..
Evening all,
What is the go to read rack for putting an ebike on? Fitting a tow bar isn’t an option and bike in the car is a major pain in the ass. Car is a 2016 Renault Clio sport RS if that makes a difference. Been looking at this: Halfords 1 Bike Rear Mounted Bike Rack | Halfords UK
Says it’s...
Just worked out how to post pictures.. I’m a Luddite with technology. My home made ass saver thing on the rear and a cut down mud hugger on the front. I’m happy with them.
Get some unistrut, attach to wall at suitable wooden joist behind plasterboard. Get some unistrut shelf brackets and cut 2 pieces of unistrut about a foot long. Attach the bracket to wall mounts with the bolts, wrap the foot long pieces in foam and hang the bike with a piece through the frame...
I was out Sunday with a couple of mates on normal bikes, I haven’t been out with other people for a while so I am a bit out of practice and lacking bike fitness. Needless to say I assumed I would just leave it in Tour mode and I would be keeping up no problem... wrong! Absolutely smoked them up...
Thanks for the replies people. I have bitten the bullet and gone for a set of Fiveten Freeriders from Stif bikes. Got them for £76 which I was happy...ish with. Spending a bloody fortune with this new Ebike. Had let a lot of my cycling stuff fall by the wayside a bit so it was desperately...
Evening all,
I’m on the hunt for some new flat pedal shows as my current DC’s have never been waterproof and are well past their best.
Started nosing around and it appears everything had got very expensive since I bought proper flat pedal shoes many many many years ago. So what’s everybody...
Yeah not ideal but my defect is in a very inconspicuous place luckily so I’m not overly fussed. I’ll try and track down a touch up paint online for future. I find model paints work really well for touching in bike paint chips.
I noticed some chipping paint on my down tube tonight where the battery mount bolts are secured. I’ll email Trek and see what they say. I can live with it though and I have put some tape on it to stop it getting worse.
Well I have been a bit trigger happy the last 7 days. New Trek Rail 7 2020 model, a nice Salsa stem top cap (standard ones are boring), front mud hugger, carbon bars, Osprey bum bag thing as I dislike riding with a back pack and a charge spoon saddle in brown. Also managed to bodge an old ass...
Ok, just out tinkering and it has 2 leads going from mains supply to Bosch charger. The cable to charge battery on the bike is attached to the charger. ??♂️
