My proper cheating bike, first pic is at my mates just before the run, second is the last stop at Stirling castle before heading for home. Did over 300 miles that day.. was glad to get home.
Ps.. I’m assuming then that a bike won’t go in the back of a Kangoo sized van without taking the front wheel off? That’s what I was looking at but as Cozzy said... what’s the point in a van if you still have to take wheels off etc.
Nice setup Cozzy, I hadn’t thought of the whole registered as a van for the reasons you stated. My brother has an NV200 with a camper convention (albeit very basic), I’ll maybe have him swing by so I can try the ebike in the back. Already fed up of removing wheels etc to get it in the car, don’t...

Happy days.. I liked the sound of it aswell. Checked the chainring was tight again, Cleaned and re greased the pedals and rear axle first to eliminate them. I knew it wasn’t the seatpost as it was still there when I was out the saddle pedalling on my way home from work. So figured it had to be...
I got one of these 6 years ago, wasn’t expecting much for the money but it’s been faultless since day 1. Bright enough for off road use and cheap enough to not worry about damaging. Doesn’t run off the bike battery obviously but the battery pack is small enough to sit under the top tube.
Philly G.. thanks for the heads up on the potential problem. Removed the freehub body and it was as dry as a bone behind there. Everything got a good grease up and the noise is gone.. although so is the lovely clicks sounds of the freehub when freewheeling ?. Oh well, better to have the creaking...
Evening all,
Had my Rail 7 out for a pedal off-road yesterday and noticed a creaking noise from bottom bracket area when under load. Doesn’t do it if I’m just spinning the pedals but as soon as I put some real power down it starts creaking. Is it a common problem on them? Does it need some...
My rail 7 resting on stuff.
Pic 1: Top of Drovers road at back of Dundee
Pic 2: Bench on Riverside nature trail in Dundee after I decided to go out one night at 22:00.
Pic 3: Top of Pitmedden Forest, taken today. Still loving this bike. Although I did start to head a creak from bb area today...
Quad lock.. thread closed. I have used one for years on the bike. It comes with 2 rubber bands to hold it on, I put a wee zip tie round one side for added security. Ridden all sorts and never had an issue. I have used it on my motorbike aswell with no problems.
Just back from Pitmedden forest, did 12 miles mostly on tour with some Emtb thrown in, mix of gradient but a fair bit of climbing. Still 3 bars left, although range says 12. But that’s nonsense, loads more life in it yet.
Been playing about with modes on my rail 7 the last few rides aswell. I always just left it Emtb but found it a bit sporadic in power delivery some times, I started using Tour most of the time and find it just right. I stick in Emtb for steeper climbs though. Tour mode definitely improves range...
