Great and honest review? I have had my 2019 for 15 months now and haven’t changed a thing or had one problem with it so far (tempting fate saying that). I just do the normal maintenance and it is reliable. The one thing I found was that the bearings are cheap and I had to replace mine after 9...
Yes, as per CRC.
Vitus eSommet - eEscarpe 2018+ Bearing Kit | Chain Reaction Cycles
The replacement bearings I used are much better than the original bearings that Vitus use. I changed mine back in September and absolutely no sign of any roughness so far. When I installed the bearings I also...
I get my gpx files from Strava. So if the route was off-road, then Komoot will follow that route. It can be a few metres out on the mapping but, generally, you can see the trail and follow it.
I log into my Komoot account on my PC and simply upload a gpx file of the route I want to follow into my Planned Routes. When I then go into the app on my iPhone it is there and can be loaded and followed. You can have lots of Planned Routes available for selection.
I also had problems with OS maps on my iPhone. I could not use my OS Leisure Map, but the latest release fixes that problem. Is there a way to make OS Maps auto rotate to the direction of travel, as mine always just points North?
Yeah, the rims are 29mm internal width and will easily take a 2.6” tyre. However, be careful with the clearance on the Lyrik fork, especially if you use a mudguard.
Great, thanks. I do have Stunlocker, I just used the old name because that’s what I think most people will know it as.
Do you know if it reduces motor output during gear changes.
I have a Vitus with a chain stay mounted speed sensor. Can I retain this and only install the Di2 mech and shifter and connect? I already have Steps Unlocker, so changing the firmware should not be a problem.
I was expecting a price increase, but £ 1200 is too much for debatable component improvements (Fox Factory versus RockShox Lyrik, etc.). I am glad they retained the external battery as it helps retain the resale (if I ever do) value of my 2019. To me, it’s a beast and certainly a much better...
Yes, that’s the one. So Gary was right, the shaft is screwed into the frame and removal is from the non drive side using an 8 mm hex wrench. Thank you very much for your info and pic. Now we will all know how to get this out. ??
Thank you. I have my VR in pieces and can remove all the bearings bar the one’s for the main pivot lower swing arm. I cannot see how to remove the pivot shaft so that I can remove the lower swing arm and access the bearings. Gary has suggested a method, which I will look at. Have you done this?
