Yep. The Linkglide Cassette has turned up and I fitted it to the HG Hub.
The derailleur and chain also arrived. But I am just too busy at the moment to fit everything. Maybe in the next 3 weeks.
There is not a chance in hell you can fit a Linkglide Cassette to a Micro-spline hub. And...
On my EP600 motor. I need to press the mode button once, on the bike, after turning on the App in the phone, before it will connect.
So turn bike on. Wait till booted up.
Open App in phone. Wait till connection status screen comes up.
Press mode button on bike to go from Eco to Trail Mode, or...
New Linkglide 11-50T 11 speed cassette.
Fitted to my new wheel and hub that I built myself.
New Di2 XT derailleur. Notice the LG (Linkglide) symbol on the clutch housing. This is really important as this confirms this derailleur will give me Autoshift when connected to my EP600 Shimano...
Amflow has setup a customer support line in this forum.
Be great if peeps who have bought Amflows use it, if they have issues, so potential buyers can track how well customers are being supported...
40nm is quite a bit of force. Really difficult to judge without a 40nm torque wrench, as it feels very tight.
I bought a Shimano Hub with a steel freehub. I just fitted the CS-LG400-11 (11-50T) cassette. Interesting to see if I get better wear.
0.5. And after 3 chains change the hyperglide cassette and chain. I run the Deore 12s hyperglide cassette, which is only AUD$100 at my LBS. So it's not worth mucking around.
OK. This seems to be engineeringly plausible. You only inflate one tube, and the other tube is ready to inflate when you get a puncture.
I guess if you were getting lots of punctures it's worth the experiment. But if you still have to stop and inflate the spare tube. It wouldn't take me much...
Listen. I don't want to have this argument. It's not what this thread is about. The thread is to document and help anyone wanting to convert from 12 speed Hyperglide, to Linkglide, so they get Autoshift.
Perhaps contact Peter Mayer at EMax if you think he is wrong about this. Peter is the most...
Magnet issues causing E295 and the E299 errors is a well documented issue in the EP600 and EP801. Just in last month there was a thread in this forum about it, when someone changed their rear wheel.
It's got nothing to do with the magnet. It's the magnet position needs to be so it doesn't...
I will be getting carbon rims if this all goes well. So I'll be unlacing that wheel and transferring the hub to the carbon rim.
This wheel is more to test the Linkglide components, and that it gives me Full Autoshift. Not that I'll use Autoshift that much. Mostly when I'm on a more cruisy ride...
I've ordered the 11 speed Di2 derailleur. I bit the bullet and got the XT instead of the Cues. About $130 more.
I've also ordered the Linkglide cassette and chain.
I'll need to reprogram the motor when I fit it all. But it will be nice to finally get the full blown Autoshift. As well as...
I finished building the wheel and it seems like it worked well. I did spin the hub the wrong way when I started adding the 3 cross spokes, so unfortunately I didn't get non-cross, over the valve stem. Not a bigge.
I then trued up the wheel for roundness, centring in the frame, and side to side...
So I'm changing my Merida EMTB from Shimano Di2 12 Speed Hyperglide to Di2 11 Speed Linkglide, so that I can get Autoshift and take advantage of the 300% longevity upgrade, that the linkglide cassette and chain will provide.
Obviously 12 Speed Hyperglide sits on a Microspline Hub, and the 11...
Amflow had me at "Awesome Boots"
Getting to the top of the hill first and saying to your mates, "What kept you, Bro???", is 90% of my motivation to ride. :p
Regarding length of repair. I always keep a spare EMTB so I can keep riding regardless of the damage I do to my No.1 EMTB, or how...
Do you have pics. I want try this.
Are the tubes beside each other, thus requiring offset holes, or do you have a twist ?
How do you inflate them, to get even pressure ?
Have you tried simulating a puncture in one, to test if the pressure in the other is enough to prevent a pinch ?
^^^^ This. You'll need this forum, more than this forum needs you. There are so many answers to issues you'll come across.
Don't throw out the seeds, just because it mixed in with chaff.
Headed out about 100km west of Sydney, to a trail called the Narrow Neck Trail. Words cannot describe how stunningly beautiful it was, so I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.
