40nm is quite a bit of force. Really difficult to judge without a 40nm torque wrench, as it feels very tight. I bought a Shimano Hub with a steel freehub. I just fitted the CS-LG400-11 (11-50T) cassette. Interesting to see if I get better wear.

Do you have pics. I want try this. Are the tubes beside each other, thus requiring offset holes, or do you have a twist ? How do you inflate them, to get even pressure ? Have you tried simulating a puncture in one, to test if the pressure in the other is enough to prevent a pinch ?
