EP801 is 600W max. EP600 is 500W max.
EP600 doesn't get the extended over run in the new Firmware 4.3. EP801 does.
EP600 is 300grams heavier.
I would choose the EP801 if you have a choice.
I hated overrun when I first got the bike. And mine only has a short over run in Boost Mode. It kept driving me off the line I was trying to climb on. So I never climbed in boost mode. I made a custom mode below boost that had minimal over run.
But I watched a few videos, and all the experts...
He told me the motor and battery would have a 2 year warranty. He didn't mention any time frame because he hasn't ordered parts. He was planning to keep a spare 800Wh battery in stock. But nothing else.
I guess we'll get a better idea of deliver times, when his demo turns up. And deliveries...
Yep. And that's what my local bike store said they could provide. But they don't have stock for test rides yet. They are hoping to get an XL Pro within 2 weeks for demos. But that is going to be way too big for me. But they said I could test ride it, to get a feel of the power, and play with...
Mate. I find most of your posts great. But we don't need all the politics. It's an EMTB forum. We want to learn about the bike and motor. We don't get all this China rhetoric in the Bafang threads, because people read it to learn about the motor.
But I certainly am not going to tell you what to...
It would be a derate in the BMS. Which is quite normal for smaller batteries, as they have less cells in parallel. Thus each cell is required to deliver more current for the same battery power output.
The faster I go uphill, the more work the top half of my body needs to do, the higher my heart rate, the more calories I burn. I have shown this time and time again.
So it comes down to how you use the EMTB. If you use the extra power and torque to glide along the flat effortlessly. Sure...
I'm just reporting what they have told me. You can confirm this by going to their website and sorting on their best selling bikes.
Here ...... I'll do it for you.
Do it yourself if you wish.

Regarding purchasing one. My EMTB is only 6 months old. So there is...
Rather than speculating. As we want to give this forum the most accurate data. Why don't you call them or email them, and they can answer any issues you have ?
As an expert on DJI. You should be able to ask the right questions, to satisfy your concerns. Then post a full report of factual...
I walk my bike through streams on it's rear wheel, with the front wheel up in the air. But below 4 inches, I will ride through, but very slowly, so as not to create a big splash.
I use a hose to clean, but dry it well, then store it in a warm dry environment. Retained water is your biggest...
Ummm ....... Maybe it's something cultural going on. But this is exactly how I fact check posts that are a criticism or a glowing review.
Are you asking me to just believe everything I read on the internet ? That will end well. 😆
You seem very genuine, and a fountain of information. It's...
I don't see how trusting a nearly 50 year established Bike Store, that I've used for nearly 20 years, is getting sucked in. I'd be more concerned with getting sucked in by a first day social media post. :ROFLMAO:
But we all source our information from different streams ...... ;)
