The like of the RRP enduroguard (or the many clones, or homebrew copies) is probably all you need, actually you've just prompted me to go fit one to mine and fit my mudhugger to protect my own rear end.
Been night riding for many many years now, simply the more money you can spend on a quality brand/light the better. The likes of exposure/fourth/lumicycle are well worth investing you money in, as the build quality is 2nd to none and the output is not only bright but the reflectors make the...
TBH buy what ever your Le-BS (Local ebike shop) supplies for the win. Though as per STW, I still say find a 2019 Levo with a 700wH battery upgrade from a LBS
I find that hard to agree with, ex1-8 cassettes prices are ridiculous. You don’t mention what your currently running, but I’m sure you’ll find you can buy several if not more chains & cassette of your current setup for the same price as one ex1-8 cassette. I tried it on a demo bike (trek power...
But do you have another device you could try pairing with your bike, a tablet or your partners phone, it only to test connectivity. I had issues connecting with my Android work phone but my iPhone worked, so worth a shot
I believe you need a laptop, the shimano software* & the correct cable to connect to the bike, in order to reset the pin. Otherwise any local shimano dealer, with the setup, would be able to do it for you
*there maybe more to that..
Ps have you tried pairing with another device, other than...
I keep the drive train clean, just with a hose & muck off. Blast some gt85 to disperse any water, then lube it. Wipe off the fork stantions & shock shaft, then lube it with silicon spray, cycle the suspension to lift the crap out of the seals, then wipe it all off again, then relube with the...
Silky Fox for the win, when it comes to (hand powered) trail saws. Round here I need to buy a Makita battery powered hedge cutter to reclaim some of our trails!
Welcome & just get one bought! You can waste too much time wondering about which one is best & miss out on riding. That said you may not be doing much riding depending on how much snow you get there in Trondheim, so perfect time to spend hours/ months deliberating.
Ps. I replaced a shimano...
Can't believe there whining about the external battery, I think it's briliant, it holds the resale value of my 2018 model! #
Seriously, I do think its not necessaily a good thing going internal, as it more difficult to replace the battery, and as shimano have failed to introduce a 700wH unit...
if you doing this for shockwiz ratio check, then yes the forks should be very deflated but not necessarily full compressed, as for extending them with no air, it's difficult (I hold the wheel down with my feet and pull hard) but not impossible...
No snow here, so just ride & get muddy. It’s ridiculous fun slithering about, rather than grinding away getting nowhere fast. Winter riding is now fun, & I love it
Saddles are a very personal choice, what works for me won’t necessarily work for you. It worth try to locate you choice 2nd hand & not pay full retail until your sure it’s the one for you. Love the fizik gobi, but even that gets uncomfortable on really long rides
Ps. That ergon saddle get good...
It’s a popular bike, with great reviews, they seemingly shift well with much effort. Id go option 2, or again I did, the 700 battery is worthwhile, & though the carbon maybe a nice option aesthetically, it’ll make little difference in the ride.
Replaced my 170mm travel shimano powered bike with a Levo & have no regrets. Old bike was good, but the levo is just a better put together bike. Same comment from my m8 coming from a cube with a cx Bosch. Again 6ft2” and have an XL, your just under the cusp, so a large will be fine.
Demo day thread! This needs a bump for some attention, no good for me as I’ve taken the plunge, but I took it blind, a very scary proposition for many. So get yourselves signed up!
