I had shimano 11 xt/slx speed & didn’t think you needed anything else (also had di2 for a month too which was great, but I wouldn’t rush to buy it).
New bike came with S700 shifter/ GX mech & I love the single click action, it just feels so solid. Multi shift by double/triple tapping with ease...
I've seen a blue/red error flash up (no doubts there lots of variations) and had a the motor cut out on a couple of very rough trails. I traced it down to tiny (or at least very small) metalic flakes on the connectors. The same flakes that my cat magnet cat-flap fob gets covered in, not very big...
As the ultimate tyre thread is now 25 pages long of ramble, I going to take a risk and create a new one for the 29er Levo's. I'm not expecting anyone to give a Tim29 reviews, but just what are you running? What will you move onto, or will you 'stick' with what you've got?

Had it done to my last manual bike, which is 4 years old & still looks great, but was in too much of a rush to ride my 1st ebike so didn’t bother & the paint work has visibly suffered for it. So had my latest bike invisiframed from the shop, as I definitely think it’s worthwhile
Yes, given the lights you can get nowadays for not a lot of money, there very little excuse not to. It a great experience too, very different from normal daytime riding imo
I’ve been pondering upgrading my forks, though via the cheaper Yari route (basically a lyric select), yet my shockwiz say the std Rev is working well for my riding, & I’m not finding any issues with its performance. So do we just have a case of upgrad-itus & instead should just get out and ride...
Had mine power itself off twice yesterday on some challenging trails, the second time it wouldn't restart until I'd opened/closed the charging port but the port wasn't opening that I could see, more I suspect it popped out slightly. Slightly concerning but well see how it goes.
Yes home use, as you suspect it’s very heavy and no simply no, I wouldn’t leave my e-mtb in town for a couple of hour full stop, as that not what I bought it for. But if I was commuting to work or somewhere regularly, then yes I leave one there too. What 10% of you bike value, spent on a lock...
U-lock are too easily overcome, go for an Almax or Pragmasis 19mm (or now 22mm) chain, squire lock and torx ground anchor, heavy and expensive* but then bikes are bloody expensive, so why skimp on keeping them safe?

I had the on my 2018 version, the bolts that tighten the mounting in place have a non threaded section that meant even when tight, the battery moved on big hits. I added a fibre washer to mine & haven’t had an issue again
