Week after week I keep reading threads and posts about riders having issues with their Brose motors.
I think it makes sense to also collect data of people NOT having issues. Because I cannot believe that majority of us faced or will face an issue with this amazing motor!
Mine is not really a...
I am using a Thule UpRide to bring my E-mtb around by car and I am wondering if anybody has any idea about what is the best way to protect the bike (especially if it's raining) while going on highway.
I contacted a couple of brands (TeamObsidian and Dirtlej) and researched online but apparently...
Enjoy the new bike :)
I just got delivered a 2021 6.7 Nine for my wife a couple of days ago :D
I don't honestly care anymore about what is coming next ... I enjoy what I have and that's it :)
Beside what was already suggested, especially on your body position, it is good to practice how to leverage brakes to start. This way:
- brakes in
- start pushing on the pedal that you moved at the most vertical position you can get (with your favourite or available foot)
- while pushing on the...
Thanks for sharing this option!
I could not really get if they are shipping abroad, it would be interesting to understand. However the price, even with current discount it's higher than MagicShine options. Even the most expensive MJ-906 is cheaper :)
Look at Orbea and Lapierre. They both have a lower standover from what I see :)
Consider though that my wife is not tall and she is getting used to drop off the bike in the proper way, avoiding to touch the standover :)
I like my Code RS on the TL.
However they are a bit noisy (squealing). So I am already thinking about upgrading to Galfer pads and rotors :D
Other than the noise I like the modulation of brakes and I also don't feel like they are under-powered as I often read.
A lot of great experience shared in this 3ad.
I am relying on a Garmin Edge 1030 as device on the bike.
To prepare the routes I used in the past RideWithGPS, pretty good option at a decent price. I could even download directly the route in my Garmin Edge using the dedicated app.
If I don't...
I have both Sram (code RS) and Mt7…. After a bit of running-in you will realize that mt7 are much more aggressive than Sram… so you feel that they are more powerful (not that they necessarily are…). I like both of them, although they are different. If I had to choose one I think Magura are...
Just as a follow up... I did the quick bleeding on my Magura MT7 and found out that on the front brake had the bleed screw a bit loose :|
I use the Magura kit, so I will see how much it lasts now :D
Makes sense what you say. My TL (S3) standover is indeed slightly lower than my anaolg FS in size S.
In any case, I am sure it works for my wife but I will confirm when we have the bike home and go for a first ride.
BTW: I am really surprised that Focus does not publish the standover height... they have it mentioned in the gemoetry picture but they do not publish it. Moreover looks like they have very high bikes... the size S has a standover that is much higher than the one of my TL S3.... :(
Taking this topic back up as I wanted to say thanks to @Billy1mate (even though it seems he/she is not an active user anymore).
I am trying to buy a new e-bike to my wife and having this info was pretty important.
I am not sure how much the 2021 version of this Focus Jam2 changed, but I just...
I was surprised too. But I installed them two times and in both cases I experienced the same.
I followed the steps: installation, first bleeding, tuning ok.
Then after a while (several weeks) bleeding needed again.
But now you made me thinking a bit.... I am now suspecting that the reason of...
