Been running the Amygos bashguard on mine and it's taken the abuse that the motor otherwise would have. Been really pleased with it. They're a french company so depends where you are based. Covers the motor, bottom of the down tube and wraps round the bottom of the drive train. Wasn't cheap but...
Have spent quite a while trying to find one of these with no luck. Thought I'd got around the issue by tracking down a new SLX freehub body but in typical fashion it was supplied without the spacer which is trashed on my current hub body. If anyone knows anywhere that has these in stock in uk...
Just swapped out my Code R's after a year of riding with them (on my analogue bike). They were always a bit all or nothing for me in terms of stopping power and the bite point seemed to vary which made them a bit unpredictable. Very little modulation. Also, had an intermittent lever issue with a...
Ride concepts powerline have worked well for me. Good grip and support. Slightly higher round the ankle than their livewires which I like (have owned both). Seem to do a reasonable job keeping feet dry in wet conditions too.
To be honest I mix it up as much as possible between DH rides and big trail days out. DH on my Enduro/Trail on my ebike. I take both when I get away on trips. Probably slightly favour the big trail days out more so long as there's good descents/singletrack etc on them. Don't want to spend hrs...
It is a fair bit of driving, especially as I live down in Kent. About 8-9hrs to Innerleithen I think. Looking at about 9 days for the trip to make sure we have at least a couple of days at each spot. Couple of early starts and we can get things like travel between Innerleithen and Torridon done...
Planning a trip to Scotland next year which will probably be Innerleithen/Torridon/Fort Williams with a couple of other rides to break up journey times. Looking for a couple of tips - 1) Torridon accommodation? Have found a place with some cabins 15mins away but doesn't seem to be much...
No it's to prevent damage to carbon frames from the jaws. Basically spreads the load of the clamps over a wider area. Google Thule Carbon frame protector and it'll come up in the search. Use it on mine with zero issues.
3 weeks in to the warranty process (tomorrow). Madison responded 1 1/2 weeks after I dropped the bike off to the shop requesting more information. This has been supplied to them and now waiting their response (can be up to 14 days apparently - bike shop are chasing for me!). So motor not even...
Thule easyfold xt 2 for me as well. Been up and down everything from motorways to dirt tracks with it on the back with zero issues. Just remember to get the carbon frame protector if you have a carbon bike.
My EP8 is waiting a warranty review from Shimano (Madison?) in the UK. Just wondered if anyone has any recent experience of timelines involved in getting them to look at things at the moment? Bike shop is dealing with it and they've contacted Shimano about it, but a week on and they've not even...
Yes, but it's only a velcro strap so just needs loosening to access the charge port. No need to remove the bashguard or anything like that.
Will say I took the motor cover off the other day and it was still very clean inside there after 700miles riding so think it does a good job at deflecting...
Have an Amygos bashguard on mine which covers the motor and the bottom of battery cover and then a spare tube strapped round the top. Secured top and bottom and not going anywhere!
Light removed today and new stem/spacers now fitted. Easy once you know how. Thanks to those above for details. Didn't need to loosen the motor fortunately, could just pull cable through.
Yeah, there's the Lezyne xlock system that bolts onto the bottom stem bolts which isn't too bad if I have to keep. Off to LBS today so going to ask them if they know. If not, I'll start taking it apart after my N.Wales trip next week. Seen a few posts that look like wiring goes into side of...
