If you set your saddle height the same for the raised position you will get 30mm more drop with the 180mm.
The stack is only slightly different between the two posts, but one is doing a slightly higher stack with a much greater drop.
Bent derailleur cage is another thing that can throw the shifting off.
So many people get thrown off by setting the b screw at sag. Just sit the bike on the ground and let air out of the shock until it hits the sag point. You can even stand the bike upside down and do it to make things easier...
Who will get there first for a 50-60nm motor in an enduro frame? It seems to be what many are hanging out for. Transition have drawn their line in the sand, but will Orbea, Spec or someone else deliver first?
If you want a stiff fork and you're not too concerned about weight, grab the domain. I'm pretty certain the damper will be fine for simple trail riding and the build quality is meant to be solid. They're a fork designed to be punished, but on a budget. You'll probably snag a good deal if you...
The Rise is 19kg, Rallon is 15kg or maybe 15.5kg. The fat bastard on top is the heavy bit in the system weight and what you're putting the most energy into getting off the ground when bunny hopping. Like I mentioned you have to put in a lot more effort to get the same height. I will usually...
Pdoz, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that plush suspension for you will be more firm for her. 😉
To the OP, I can bunny hop my Rise no problems, but I'd say the 85% thing sounds reasonable. I can bunny hop probably just as high as my regular bike but it takes a heap more effort and...
Straight pull spokes are common, often on high end and probably more on light weight wheelsets. I've had no problems with straight pull. XD is XD, they handle 12s.
I should have looked up and posted the rear only. I mostly beat up rear wheels so when I missed out on the set I wasn't too upset. My wallet and wife were also happy.
These were a bargain when they were in stock. I grabbed a rear.

I should point out that the guide seemed to have moved up from where it wad set. Not sure what happened. I was riding along a banked bit of track and the rear wheel slid down the embankment into a rut.
I'll check the torque settings and then keep an eye on it in future.
Cutting corners or whole sections of trails has been a huge issue in my area of AU. It has started with the COVID boom and emtb is making it worse in many cases. Every trail feature looks like a three lane highway with all the ride arounds. Longer ebikes have meant many tight sections are...
Unfortunately, the removable battery (some motor as well) ebikes so far have tended to be on the superlight, trail end of the bike spectrum. The ones that come to mind are the Lapierre e-zesty and the new Trek Exe. The Lapierre lets you remove both with the old Fazua system, the Trek lets you...
