I've had great response from my LBS and the importer, but it has only resulted in e13 replacement. I get the feeling I'll be in the same position again or worse with a broken shaft...
My situation is I have the updated e13 cranks, no seal, 14nm printed on them and loctite on the preload cap. The motor has the hole in the shaft.
Will probably get some shimano cranks.
Hey @RustyIron I know the cap is just for preload. The pic was to show damage and that it is the updated version.
I've got replacement e13 cranks coming. Will probably buy some xt though.
I had my left side crank come loose this morning on my Rise. It looks to be updated, i.e. without the seal and loctite applied.
Best to watch out for it. Anyone else had this issue on a recently delivered Rise?
Wtf? My left hand crank on my orbea rise came off today. It appears to be the updated arrangement. I only got the bike just before Christmas 2021. When I found the cap on the trail there was no evidence of the seal and there was plenty of loctite.
I reckon it will pedal just fine. You'll just have to push 10% harder. On my M10 (19 kg) I've done a 20km ride with regular bikes with about 700m climbing. I only switched on eco for the tough climbs and was off for the rest. Its a workout but certainly manageable.
I'm pretty certain you've made the right choice. I hope I don't find myself in your situation, as I live in a country where I would have to drive the distance of a small country to find a carbon fibre repairer.
I think you're forgetting that the Rise has the 'rider synergy' power delivery. It delivers a small peak initially at low cadence and a large peak as the cadence gets near optimal for rider output there is a bit of a dead spot in between where the rider has to pedal. They will not feel the...
My 36 feels great on my Risw. My 38 is a bit more stiff on my enduro bike. Bur once the speed increases and the hits get a bit more harsh it is amazing. I have a pike on my trail bike that cannot keep up when things get rough. That said the fox bikes have alloy wheels and the trail bike...
Excellent work again, Rod. This is the same process as the Rallon, only the Rallon is much easier to get the brake line out of the way as it doesn't have the extra housing. Glad to see that it is not much more difficult.
Be careful if you're jumping a heap and have minimal rebound damping. Unless your technique is good you increase your chance of being bucked.
As for the controls, I was more thinking that all the controls would be low speed adjustment and the high speed circuit would be set from factory. I...
