The first thing that comes to my mind about it weeks ago was that the cage looks like I would bent it within few ride, it does not look really great. Better see also if you can get spare part for the price.
Far from the design you can walk on it like sram funny video
FWIW, I use the AL version of the handlebar too, it is already damping a lot for only 110g more.
There is a lot of compliance on them, all the bikes I use on DH and rocky terrain have it - I do not trust/like carbon bar for that unfortunately.
Form factor, rise, backsweep is also a big factor...
Where do you see the long travel cf first post? I can only see 160/160 and Fox36 on higher specs.
So base battery 400wh to 650 with the range extender - Not bad for an SL, not sure it can compete with the Slash+.
So yeah maybe it can be considered an enduro but the fork is out of base to me...
Like we discussed in another thread, getting the location of a bike is usually useless unless you would take it back by yourself with all possible consequences.
This might be true for you, this is not for me, and I can give you physics number too. Inertia/Momentum help to a point and not on all direction, it is what it is, an heavy bike stay like hell in its line whether it is good or not.
I insist, at least for me, to move a bike in tight on side etc...
Still wonder how 320wh can be enough on a KSL, it is a self shuttle bike so uphill eat the hell the battery no?
You do not climb that much or do very few laps? On my trail, an analog I would be able to do 10 laps on an afternoon - half cycling half walking the hills definitely I am not that...
The red color is really great.
Good that you can have a bigger fork on some config but two points for me that could have been really better: 150mm travel is a bit low and no mullet makes it a no go for me.
I would argue than brands are really trying right now to limit looses and do not go with huge stock. They are still learning lesson from past years.
Better having less stock and sell than having to sell them -35% one year later and let's be honest with ebike the percentage can drastically go...
Imagine passing by other mtber:
- Oh you start emtb and bought a supermarket ebike? more power to you man
- No it is a 9k bike dude, my dream bike
- This one is a joker
...
No offense really, riding this I would avoid as much people as I could.
I understand what you said, but it needs to be something to be aware of.
If someone is riding a 15kg FS going to switch to a 27kg bike, well, the story will be totally different than 20kg, even 23kg. This is just me but I really feel the difference of mass even 2kg and I am by no mean a rampage...
It is because people buy the bike knowing it.
No one can say it is nimble and as playful as a 20kg bike, it just cannot.
Yes weight is not that important for DH but 7kg is huge, from braking, anticipation, tight corner etc.
For straight DH it should be awesome for natural right trail and...
You make me wonder about something here, would it be possible with such design to have a swap BB too?
Like an sort of steel part that would take place of the motor, using the same fixation but in a way more light way obviously.
Bike then could be emtb or mtb on demand assuming you know how to...
I really like steel bike and have a famous one the Honzo ESD - a beautiful baby
That said ... I like steel bike for their thin tubes, this is a blasphemy to me to put a big bulky battery like that - that's only me.
I also think that to be able to support that I would have like at least 750wh...
Seems like marketing BS to justify missing the point on their new bike.
They could have lower the price or delay and rework bottom mold, that was not big difficulty.
I would bet they switch to race at the last moment with this BS as an excuse.
Still do not understand why they did not took...
