Signed , but it said only 195 signatures so far , some really daft answers here as usual on the subject . Fact is a heavy draggy Ebike wont keep up with road bikes even if it’s de restricted but it would help equalise on flat sections of road , a 20mph limit would make the off road a little...
There’s no spoke magnet on this model , the magnet is fixed inside the rear lower stay and bolted to the disc bolts , so it cant really be moved easily . It was the first thing i checked in case there was a problem or something stuck to it , but found no problem
I did keep riding for over an hour , i had to to get home but it didn’t clear ,
there’s lots of conflicting remedies i read about how long you need to keep riding etc and many say you have to ride without using assistance for that hour , some say it has to be an even speed between 9and 11 mph...
stopped for a break and bike switched back on with a 504 error code and was in limp mode , i looked here for reasons and a fix but found nothing and it seems all reasons i could find pointed to using derestricting devices which i dont have , anyway lots posts on you tube telling me to ride for...
I’ve had similar problems with a hope hub when i first had one the free hub has two bearing fitted back to back on the inside . The inner bearing gets the dirt etc in it and fails first , normally this would alert you but the other bearing continues to support the free hub until the worn inner...
I feel better to know that It’s what I seem to remember Here I was thinking I must too old to pedal hard enough to get that peak shown on the graph 😄
so i guess it has advantages , but not as good for battery life as before 🤔 so which version do you prefer presuming you’ve tried both Rob ?
Maybe our Motors both shimano and bosch have different tunes . the shimano you could alter stuff a bit in its power outputs , and different manufacturers seem to have different Bosch tunes like trek have the emtb light ,
I guess your using the Bosch in the higher modes , in the lower modes it’s very different. I ve found getting started on a difficult slop using the lower power then turning up as you get going works well , emtb does give a fair kick ,
Having owned shimano e8000 for 3 years and now the latest bosch for the last year , the best thing is the battery life , the bosch is good for almost twice the distance Yes it has a bigger battery but The emtb light mode gives you all the power you need even for tough climbs , and hits that...
Dam I just read through all that guys pointless ramblings , no wonder you thought it was a hoax , I nearly gave up too , but continued hoping for some kind of holy grail trick I hadn’t heard of , how can someone ramble so much on something we’ve been doing for years , using a shimano cassette...
Having changed from an e8000 shimano powered bike very similar to the Merida to the trek rail with bosch I would say the trek is well worth the exra , it’s a more capable up to date bike and the bosch has almost twice the range of the shimano with more features it’s quieter more powerful and...
Good video / review Rob . Bike looks good , but bigger and heavier again . Would be great if they did an extra battery that popped in the bottle holder for long rides .
My rail 9 is displaying a service due reminder . Is this a trek thing to get you to take your bike to the shop , or us it a Bosch thing because the motor needs some kind of update or service ?
if it’s the the first option is there a way to re set the service reminder , Ive looked at the menus...
I think it’s the emtb lite mode that trek first started , it doesn’t boost all the way to turbo , it’s a more economical version of emtb mode . I find it the best mode for battery life without working too hard in eco
I didn’t really mean the general public , they can’t be worse than some of the British types that are currently ruining Cornwall . And most Germans I meet on my travels are friendly and polite
I meant general government rule making , pointless pedantic rules and laws , the sort of legislation...
