The stock paddle gives you more unconventional contact points, so you can find new and exciting ways to shift. For instance I liked the ability to shift both up and down using my index finger and I could (inconsistently) shift both ways with the side of my thumb along the outside edge.
The...
Additionally, I would love to be able to pop in a 500wh battery for short rides and save the 750 for longer ones. In fact I've been toying with the idea of switching to a 500wh bike (full power though, not an SL or the like) and carrying an extra 500wh when needed. 500's are small enough to...
The PowerTube 750 battery has more cells. The package is pretty much the same, just longer. However regardless of whether or not the battery would fit your bike, it's not compatible with any previous system. You must have the new motor, new controller, and new Kiox to go along with the new...
I tried to put an E13 Bosch chainring on my Mondraker Crafty. It moved the chainline ~1.5mm closer to the frame and caused the chain to rub on the chainguard. I switched back to the standard spider with an Absoluteblack round ring, which is actually lighter than the E13 setup anyway. Of course...
More likely it's protection to prevent the motor from overheating. I've ridden Shimano, Bosch, and Brose extensively and all three limit the power significantly if cadence is too low.
Honestly 50% off DT Swiss wheels just means the prices are "normal" :) 1500 euros for aluminum wheels is just silly. There's not even a need to go custom built to get a better, stronger, lighter, and cheaper wheel (e.g. Light Bicycle). Not that I'm knocking custom wheels at all. Just pointing...
I like it a lot. The first time I rode a Foxy in a parking lot I was *shocked* at how good it felt. So stable. The Crafty is not quite as stable feeling I think because of the battery (the center of gravity is quite a bit higher on an ebike) but it still feels really good. So far I have found no...
EDIT: Thanks for doing that. First post updated.
We already have a response form Spesh (linked in first post) regarding shock support:
Yay finger pointing :( EDIT: at least SRAM didn't say it's flat out not supported, like Fox. Hopefully that means it carries a warranty.
Any 6-bolt rotor of appropriate size will fit fine. If you want to use Center Lock rotors, ask your Specialized dealer for the Turbo Creo lock ring, with integrated magnet (example Specialized Centerlock Speed Sensor Magnet Holder (Black))
The 2019 Expert was around $8000, but that's not really a fair comparison given what has happened to prices since then. The current Expert costs $11000.
Anyway my Levo was far from stock:
