    YT Decoy 700WH battery

So it’s going to be 2-3lbs heavier. Damn my bike is already 54lbs with pedals and coil shock.

    YT Decoy 700WH battery

Efficiency does not equal Capacity so your Range figures aren’t close. Also 2-3 years is a bit optimistic. They are barely figuring things out. We’ll see it first on smart phones and Electric cars. When that starts to happen, then it will happen soon for ebikes

Going to try the 160mm crank arms. is anyone running these?

Shimano just recently offered 160mm cranks. I went with Miranda 155mm and it’s totally fine except you gotta move the seatpost up to compensate. In my case going from 165 to 155 was 10mm higher seatpost. I got used to them in 1 minute and descending and pedalling feels totally natural...

1up bike rack too weak for emtb??

1.25” – 2” Quik Rack Single – 1UP USA | OFFICIAL SITE I have this single 1-1/4 to 2” receiver bike rack that holds 50lbs max And is capable of adding attachments for up to 3 bikes or 150lbs max. My Ebike is around 50lbs but on a wet muddy day, it will easily gain 5lbs. Is anyone running this...

    Bash Guard?

I see a couple mounting threads and was wondering if we can add a bash guard. Or is it unnecessary since we have the plastic skid plate down there that is pretty cheap to replace?

    Yari upgrades?

With the Debonair air spring, you got a large negative air chamber. So much so that the bike sags 8-10mm under its own weight so if you push down on the bike it will not return to 160mm. I upped my air spring to 170mm and under its own weight, it sags to 158-160mm. I also prefer a Linear Coil...

Tough Decisions but where I live, E-Bike access is limited to only Federal land so I ride the White bike 70% of the time

    Messy Cables

I bought the Zee’s for $280 which includes tax and sold my Code R’s for $180 so the switch cost me $100. I took the codes on my first ride down a trail that is 1800’ of descending and it was very wet/slippery and i had to do a lot of braking and the fingers/hands/arms were so sore. Had to pull...

    Messy Cables

Brakes are Easy. I replaced my Code R’s with Shimano Zee’s and had to shorten both brake lines but i made them the same length as stock. All you need is the barb/fitting kit which is about $2-3. Once reinstalled, I did a quick 1-2 minute bubble bleed and it was fine. After all the holiday...

Spare Battery Decoy available @US Shop

$699 USD for a replacement battery. I wonder how much the 700wh battery is gonna cost. Probably $899 or $999 but they will probably give us existing Decoy owners a discount and sell it to us for $699. If this happens, i’d guess 1/5 of Decoy owners would upgrade and a third of those owners...

    Messy Cables

YT should have shortened the cables that came with our bikes since our mtb specific forks have a limiter or stopper built in the steerer tube that prevents full rotation kinda like a Dual crown fork. It’s similar to Trek’s Knock Block. I think I will shorten all cables by about 4 inches or so...

What makes the Fox X2 Shock, Ebike specific?

If a standard shock is rated for say a 300lb rider (max), an ebike specific shock may be rated for a 320lb rider. Otherwise same crap. On a fork however, the steerer tube has two stepped shoulders that prevent full rotation so steering is limited like a dual crown or Treks knock block to...

    My Decoy Leaning on Stuff

F’en Amazing. Rebound/LSC/HSC adjustments, bladder instead of IFP for only since $320 since its on sale right now at 20%. HSC adjustment is very important for a coil shock for me and its the cheapest coil available with it (I think). Other options are $500+. If i’m on a 400lb spring at 29%...
